We loved the private bath as well as the spacious and traditional room. Having a massage chair looking out over Lake Biwa was an added bonus. The staff were also very friendly, responsive, and kind.

If you like slightly tired 50's or maybe 60's Onsen then this is the place for you - I do. A bit out of town but affordable 🚕 taxi ride. There is a courtesy bus & one of the staff organised that for me to get back into town.. You could probably organise pick up as well if you were organised. Dinner and breakfast were both great in very Onsen way. No western options and no choice. You get what they are serving. Normal in an Onsen. The baths have a great view.

Excellent. Good room, easy to check in even with limited language skills. Onsen is great and brilliant value for money. Located right next to the station but no noise.
