I loved the onsen. There was one bath with water flowing from the town which is cloudy and another with water flowing from the mountains which is clear. Each felt different. I tried both and each was very hot. Don’t stay in the water too long, it will make you woozy (from experience). The room was airy with a large picture window in the living room. You could see the hotel and businesses across the street. It’s a small modern styled hotel. You can walk to many of the important scenic spots from here. The bus station is about 12 minutes a slight incline uphill. The Yubatake is about 5 minutes downhill. Miki speaks English and can answer questions about the town. She is very friendly. There is an elevator, a refreshment area for before and after bath with coffee, tea, candies, and a small lounging area. The bus is JR so I could use my rail pass.

The western style breakfast was served in our room was delicious. The location was walking distance to the temple and from there an easy walk down to the town center with the hot springs and restaurants. Would definitely stay here again.

Superb small family run inn that is perfect in every way. The personnel are lovely, helpful and friendly. The inn itself was beautiful, super clean with quite large rooms. Our room had both a sleeping and separate sitting area, all of which was very comfortable. The beds were the best of our entire trip, firm but still soft. And the breakfasts were superb, flavorful, filling and home made. We loved all the different touches provided and will absolutely come back to stay again!
It was easy to park in their offsite lot and walk into town for the onsens and restaurants.

The best service we've ever had anywhere. Chie was essentially like our personal attendant, helping us with everything including serving dinner, making reservations, and even calling around to find a place that had my size snowboarding boot rental at a local ski resort. She made the experience for us that much better.

The room was very spacious. There was a private onsen that could be used by any guests which was amazing. The food was exceptional and the receptionist was very friendly and spoke amazing English
Experience culture authentically with a stay at these traditional Japanese-style accommodations. Sleep on the floor (on a futon roll) in a room furnished with tatami flooring and sliding doors. Guests can often expect access to a communal bath, plus a complimentary Japanese garment called a yukata.
Of course the Onsen (Natural hot spring baths) were wonderful.
The restaurant is also very good and the buffet style allowed us to try many different dishes.
The sulphur onsen. The place is high up in the mountains and is very relaxing and chill. The outdoor bath located a little way away from the main building provides a nice view and a nice hot soak. The buffet style meals are tasty and there are a wide variety to choose from.
