The Midoriya is a beautiful new onsen located off the beaten path in historic Yumura, in Hyogo. The premises are charming and well-appointed, with the private onsen overlooking a peaceful garden serving as the centerpiece. The meals were delicious, and the staff were very solicitous. On more than one occasion, they went out of their way to make sure my stay was excellent. Overall, a very relaxing, peaceful, and comfortable place.

the outdoor onsen, hot spring is very good. Natural environment and very good hotspring water
Experience culture authentically with a stay at these traditional Japanese-style accommodations. Sleep on the floor (on a futon roll) in a room furnished with tatami flooring and sliding doors. Guests can often expect access to a communal bath, plus a complimentary Japanese garment called a yukata.
Good location close to the station, staff was super helpful. Buffet breakfast included in the price was more than enough to start the day. Free amenities to choose in the lobby were a nice touch. The large bath (hot spring) is very small and depending on the time only woman or man can use it, but it is still a nice plus.
No nonsense hotel with all the basics covered you would need for a night over. It was centrally located and easy access to the trainstation. There is also a (paid) parking option closeby with a discount if you stay in the hotel.
The rooms were in a beautiful traditional Japanese style, with tatami mats, sliding doors and futons. The private onsen did not need to be booked, and was a lovely experience. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, despite our limited Japanese language ability. The hotel also offered luggage storage, and called a taxi for us.
Staff examined everything clearly n walked us to our rooms. And served tea to us in our rooms. When we got back fr outing. They also noticed and served us cold tea again. To help us cool down fr the summer sun. Kaiseki dinner was good. Japanese breakfast was good. Service is super. Onsen baths were nice. And had 2 different private baths to choose from... Everything good about this ryokan. Parking was convenient..
Nice ryokan close to train station with shuttle bus available if required, room was good size and traditional Japanese style with nice comfortable futons.
Public areas were excellent with plenty of sitting areas and large fish pond and free fish food.
Public and private baths were great.
Traditional Breakfast was great and all staff were very helpfully.
1. Quiet, clean, safe ryokan nearby train station
2. Good onsen, including private onsen
3. Room overlooks Japanese Garden
4. Many restaurants within walking distance
Fantastic Ryokan, they're using really old photos and they do not do it justice. There is a brand new wing for the Onsen's which is fantastic. Very good qualility water in the onsen's too.
