Good location, near tourist attractions that can be walked to The staff were warm, polite and helpful. The overall atmosphere is quiet. On the day I stayed, there were only 3 rooms. The room is clean, large, with a private toilet. The food is carefully prepared using local, seasonal ingredients. There is a parking lot specifically for guests, so you can drive there yourself.

Views absolutely stunning. Outdoor (shared) hot springs are lovely in winter. Relieved that clothing was expected in the shared springs & is provided if you don't have anything suitable to wear. Additional mattresses in the cupboard to put under the futon which made it much more comfortable for older bodies. The Japanese style rooms were by far superior to the western rooms that others in our group had, which were actually quite daggy. English speaking staff much appreciated.
