Tabist Setouchinoyado Takehara Seaside, hotel in Takehara

Tabist Setouchinoyado Takehara Seaside enjoys a location in Takehara, 19 miles from MOU Onomichi City University Art Museum and 19 miles from Jodoji Temple.

The thermal spa at this hotel is truly delightful, and the tea set in my room was charming enough to deserve recognition. Although the illumination in the stairwell drew numerous insects that are fond of light, their presence was minimal enough not to disrupt the enjoyment of spa time, even with the windows open to the refreshing sea breeze.

Suminoe Ryokan, hotel in Onomichi

17 miles from Saikon-ji Temple, Suminoe Ryokan offers 3-star accommodations in the Ikuchi Island district of Onomichi.

Always a pleasure staying at Suminoe Ryokan. It is the second time we have stayed there. It is ideally located just short of halfway across the Shimanami Kaido cycleway. Pleasant helpful staff, comfortable traditional Japanese room. Great to soak in the onsen after cycling. Delicious seafood dinner and a healthy breakfast. Lovely to watch the sun set over the inland sea from your room.

Sawaki, hotel in Imabari

22 miles from Oogamiyama Omoto Shrine in Imabari, Sawaki provides accommodations with access to a public bath. This 2-star ryokan offers free shuttle service and luggage storage space.

Stayed here in the middle of our Shimanami Kaido Cycling route and it was perfect! They have a large parking area for bikes and it's not too far off the main path. The room was very spacious, comfortable, and clean, and had everything we needed. Great place to rest after a lot of biking. There's also a couple of restaurants nearby that are open until late. They also serve a delicious and filling Japanese breakfast.

The only Ryokan on Rabbit Island. The hotel is a little aged but otherwise clean and functional. Stay typically includes breakfast and dinner, which are buffet style and quite nice. My room came with a toilet but no shower, instead guests can make use of the two onsen in the building. Which is a nice experience. Staying on the island offers the unique opportunity to enjoy the rabbits during their most active times, which is early morning and evening.

Very good hotel! the room was super well-equiped, the buffet was very diverse and had several things I had never tried before, including some local dishes. The onsen was also very nice. Staff was very helpful and they have detailed information on the schedule of buses and ferries, which is needed.

Staff were incredibly friendly, dinner and breakfast were delicious and had a wide variety of foods, obviously location is exccellent! Staff did a science talk the evening we stayed. Our room was lovely and we appreciated the futon set up as well. Cute gift shop, and the island itself is highly walkable.

A nice thing is the Onsen in the hotel and that the rooms are in Japanese style with futons and tatami. The location is really convenient to get around the island and back to the mainland.
