The rooms and area of this amazing ryokan tie up with the photos depicted.
Great room with our own outdoor private onsen. Make sure to check out their communal onsen (amazing outdoor two-tier onsen with great Japanese garden scenery).
The food was great too, two chefs (Kenjo and Keiji) who specialize in French and Japanese cuisine concocted a harmoneous fusion kaiseki dinner every night with fresh local ingredients. Truly a unexpected highlight of our stay was the food (both dinner and breakfast were great) and we would highly recommend booking for the full board stay.
The ryokan was also family friendly we travelled with grandparents and a 7 month old baby staying in 2 rooms. It was a great serene and tranquil stay and we enjoyed our stay tremendously.

The hotel landscaping was beautiful and exudes a sense of peace and tranquility. The staff was very helpful and greeted us at the drive in when we arrived at the hotel. There many options for the onsen and the riverside bath had an amazing view of the waterfall. Highly recommend this ryokan and will definitely come back again.
It's an exceptional ryokan with very calm ambience. The staff is very friendly and helpful, offering a free ride to the bus stop. Onsen facilities are of high quality.
Well located, quiet, serene environment as a ryokan onsen should be. The various onsens were beautiful esp the riverside onsen. The breakfast and dinner was well made too. Futon was comfortable and cosy. We slept well here.

Oku no yu was great! The staff picked us up from the bus station and dropped us off. The facilities had a public and many private onsens to try. The serene atmosphere of the Ryokan, with its beautiful tatami rooms , and peaceful environment, provided the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of city life.
Our family enjoyed the delicious kaiseki meals served in Ryokan and loved relaxing in the private onsen.
We highly recommend this Ryokan to families looking for a unique and authentic Japanese experience.
The cave onsen was a unique experience. They have private indoor n outdoor hot springs for booking. The English speaking female non-japanese staff was very friendly and pleasant. The ryokan also sent us to the bus stop when they learnt we are taking the bus to Hakata. Dinner was served around a fire place, giving a warm, fuzzy feel.
Clean, spacious room with comfortable futons, amenities and everything included.
Private onsen hot enough, indoor and outdoor onsen was clean, big and free flowing.
