Beautiful location. Staff is amazing. The meals served were incredible. The goma fire lighting and monk's prayers in the morning were unique and wonderful experiences. I want to learn more about Shingon Buddhism now.

Beautiful setting, loved the grounds and koi pond around the monastery. Great location close to main area. Good vegetarian food. We had a lovely, large room that overlooked the garden.

Beautiful location with very helpful staff though the areas outside of the hotel were quite cold. The room was beautiful and warm. The food was delicious! Enjoyed the public bath, as well.

Truly an experience I’ll never forget. The Monks are all so kind and welcoming. There ceremonies, the food, the history and culture. You feel part of the family and that feeling will stay forever. The entire experience from train to cable rail car, is all part of an experience that is priceless. Nearby sites and the town itself on Mt. Koya are unbelievable.

All the staff were incredibly kind, and since the place wasn’t too crowded, it was perfect for enjoying the onsen at a relaxed pace. Being close to the airport also saved us travel time, allowing us to make the most of our trip. The kaiseki dinner was beautifully plated and full of care, with both the presentation and flavors being exceptional. This was my first trip with my mom, and we had such a wonderful time together. I would love to visit again in the future with my dad, mom, sibling’s family, and my husband.
