It was very chill and no busy at all and staff were very accommodating but not hovering us so it was nice to have the freedom to use the facilities (24 hour onsen)

It was such a unique experience because of the hot springs which were magical. We went in early October for a two night stay and it wasn't crowded at all. The springs were so relaxing and even better when it cooled down at night. I can only imagine how beautiful it would be to be there in the winter with snow. My skin and hair was so soft from the springs. There was also a spout for cold water where you could do cold "plunges" with a scoop which was so refreshing. I was worried there would be mosquitoes but there were none in or around the springs. The traditional buildings and structures made it feel like you were sent back in time and wearing the provided yukatas immersed us into the whole atmosphere. As a part of the experience, you sleep on tatamis which was unique and decently comfortable. Although lunch was not included, there was an option to purchase bento boxes sent to your room. I can see why this was optional though because they gave you so much food at breakfast and dinner that it kept us so full. It was so well presented and fun to try different dishes. It was almost overwhelming how much food they serve you, the dishes kept coming. The staff was very good at explaining everything to us about the facilities and the front desks staff was so nice. We were a group of 12 people and they were so accommodating. I corresponded with them regarding the shuttle from JOMOKOGEN train station and it was very seamless. It is a small station with a few stores so the shuttle was not hard to find. Overal, I would say that the the springs and scenery is worth it for a 2 night stay.

Off the beaten track, but just an hour and a half outside of Tokyo. Less crowded than more popular onsen resorts like Hakone so you get better value and still get a unique Japanese ryokan experience with exceptional service.
Experience culture authentically with a stay at these traditional Japanese-style accommodations. Sleep on the floor (on a futon roll) in a room furnished with tatami flooring and sliding doors. Guests can often expect access to a communal bath, plus a complimentary Japanese garment called a yukata.
We drive from Tokyo and this hotel is the only one we found can check in until 11 pm. The owner is very friendly and warmed to us. We live in a tatami room with a toilet. In the first floor you can use shower and bath. If you want to go hiking in 尾瀬Oze, this is a good choice since it is 5 mins drive to the bus station to hiking place. The breakfast is really good( traditional Japanese style)and the quilt is comfortable and warm.
