I loved having extra towels and a thick bath robe to put on after getting out of the pool. We stayed in May and the night was a little cool.

The location was easy to walk to or catch a bus or ride a taxi. The Onsen and spa facilities were amazing. The restaurant served great food. The small shop had delicious ice creams and omiyagi. Our package included a Japanese breakfast which was delicious. We stayed in the newer part of the hotel. It was clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and super helpful… even insisting on carrying our hiking packs for us! Would book again without hesitation.

Fufurotenburonoyado Ginsyou, hotel in Ibusuki

Featuring open-air hot spring baths and a sauna, Fufurotenburonoyado Ginsyou is located a 4-minute drive from Ibusuki Station.

Exceptional stay at Ginsyou! Check-in was super easy; they have multilingual front desk staff who speak Japanese, English, and Chinese (among others). They offered us a one-use welcome drink voucher for two glasses of Japanese tea in the lounge. If you want to go to the Saraku Sand Bath next door, you can buy vouchers from the front desk that they will charge to your room - no cash needed! The beautiful Japanese-style room had the most magnificent view of Kagoshima Bay. I could not believe how nice it was. (Book an ocean-facing room if you can.) You can enjoy a shower and bath with the same view. They had all the amenities plus complimentary skincare products! I HIGHLY recommend booking dinner and breakfast. They're delicious, and there are not that many options for food nearby. We arrived at the dining space at 6:30 PM to find a full spread of fresh food. Our server, Gen, provided descriptions of the courses and instructions on how to eat certain dishes. It was a multi-course meal and there was so much food we almost couldn't finish it all! Very delicious and fresh, and included not only sashimi but also local specialties like satsuma-age and kurobuta. Breakfast was less hefty but equally varied, fresh, and delicious. Amazing value for the price. During dinner, the staff will make your beds. The floor futons were so soft and comfortable. I took the opportunity that night to hit the onsen. They have two onsen - one public bath on the 2nd floor, and one rotenburo (open-air bath) on the 9th floor. Both were excellent, but I especially loved the rotenburo at night and in the early morning. Bathing under the moonlight in near pitch darkness, or taking a shower while taking in the breathtaking daytime views, are memories I'll never forget. Don't miss the chance to have an authentic, relaxing, premium ryokan experience at Ginsyou - for a great price!

There were rental bikes available. All the staff I meet were super nice and warm. The house was beutifull with a tatami room. And the Airconditioning was working verry well. Just Amasing for a good price. Realy close to the train station.

We stayed here in Apr 2024. The view at the reception area was amazing. The outdoor onsen was small but comfortable. The room size was great for 2 people. There was a super friendly cat at the carpark and he/she greeted us every time we drove in/out.

The hotel offer black sand bath (at 1,100 yen) and onsen. There are a lot of different style of yukata for ladies to choose from. Dinner was delicious with a Japanese pork set and some other buffet option. The sea view was nice.

Not one thing I can complain about. The house is beautiful and situated closely to the train station. There is also an Onsen nearby which was really convenient. The manager Yuko was very friendly and has a lot of knowledge about the area. There are drinks and snacks in the kitchen which can be purchased for little money and save you the trip to the Konbini.

Wonderfully warm and welcoming was Mr Hideaki and the ryokan staff. From train station drop and pick up to a tailored to our interests day tour of Ibusuki (so very well worth it) to restaurant recommendations to good stories sum up our stay! The place was clean, calm, located in walking distance to the famous the sand baths as well as multiple restaurants. The Japanese traditional breakfast was very good. The common bath area was very clean and well maintain! Overall splendid time, we could not have asked for more! Thank you Mr Hideaki!!

Our stay here definitely exceeded expectations, with this ryokan rating as our best stay in Kyushu over the 10 days we visited. Staff were very helpful on check in and departure. Parking worked nicely. Dinner was outstanding and the staff who helped explain the kaiseki meal to us were fantastic. Our room had views looking out to sea, which was special. The onsen was nice too. All in all a great stay!
