We liked everything! One of the best decisions we made to stay overnight at the Ryokan Onomichi Nishiyama. The staff was fantastic and went out of their way to make sure our stay was perfect. Loved the apartment with a great bed to sleep. There's also a bathroom with shower but why would you when there is a public bath available. The yukata you can use is locally designed and looked gorgeous The hotel is also perfectly central located close to the station and Fukuyama castle.

Incredible stay at Keishokan Sazanamitei. Beautiful views and really enjoyed staying in Tomonoura and exploring the port town and nearby islands. Would highly reccomend getting half board option - the food was so amazing, so fresh and felt like we really got a real taste of the area. Also loved the hot springs.

The Oriental Hotel next door offers an Onsen. The interior decoration of the room is more special than what is offered commonly.

When I was booking I was curious about especially high rating but well it truly was amazing they got everything, the room Is well organized, you have one small hot artificial bathtub onsen in room and you can also reserve one for your room number, amenity kit is perfect with great in-room selection of everything you might need, the staff is really helpful and as we arrived a little bit before check-in they helped us organise our time and advise us on what to do in the city and nearby island

We spent a short time here, mainly as a place to sleep before tackling the Shimanmi Kaido. This hotel is centrally located, just a very short walk to Fukuyama Station. The room seemed recently renovated and was comfortable – partnered with the hotel next door, which is where you do the check-in procedure. While we didn't spend much time in Fukuyama, the castle and area around the station was very pleasant. It was nice to have access to the onsen at the hotel next door.

Excellent hotel, although you book in at the Orient hotel. Good size room, free drip coffee, and onsen. A quirky breakfast completes the hotel and a reasonable price.

Large sea facing tatami room was most attractive. And it had great views over the nearby islands. Mattresses very comfy. The outdoor onsen , again with sea views was a delight. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The half board breakfast and dinner were extensive (Japanese style), varied and high quality, well presented in our own private dining room.
