Excellent location close to subway Gion, to many conveniance shops and to the very colorful and interesting area near the arcade and canals. The onsen - although not very exotic - was perfect. The breakfast good and the room with free tea, microwave and fridge available for the guests. The guesthouse is in a rather old but charming building with a maze of stairs and corridors.

Very good food! Great surrounding on a Temple ground. Nice owners who showed us arround. Nice onsen. You can start the pelgrimsroute (by foot or car) here. Ask for the stemp and calligraphy mark when you leave. A hidden gem and very affordable for the area and the quality of the food. A opportunity to get a closer look at Japanese culture. Please go you won’t be disappointed.

Experience culture authentically with a stay at this traditional Japanese-style accommodation. Sleep on the floor (on a futon roll) in a room furnished with tatami flooring and sliding doors. Guests can often expect access to a communal bath plus a complimentary Japanese garment called a yukata.
We added one more person after the initial booking and the owner was very flexible.
The room was a bit crowded for the four of us but we made it work. The bed and the futons were comfortable.
The place is in a nice neighbourhood.
Very nice ryokan, located on a small street close to Gion subway station (2 minutes walk) and Hakata Station (10 minutes walk). Nerby many shops and restaurants, Big Buddha Temple and Kishida Shrine.
Canal City Mall within walking distance. Personnel very nice and helpful.
Good Japanese breakfast (misoshiru, rice, fish, natto, fried egg, salad and tea) - fresh, tasty and nutricious.
6 and 8 tatami rooms spacious and comfortable, futon beds very good and comfortable.
The hotel location is very convenient which is just 5-8 mins walk from Hakata JR and subway. It provides Sabu sabu breakfast which is very special. The room is clean. The sound blocking effect is excellent. Although I stayed near the lift, I did not hear any noise outside. The 13/F of the hotel provides hot spring facilities where guests can do both indoor and outdoor onsen!
Everywhere was very well kept and clean esp the room. Tatami area in the room was brilliant, it was dust free. The staff were amazing and they were very friendly and helpful, they also prepared a birthday card for hubby’s bday. Breakfast was sumptuous with plenty of choices. Onsen was a big bonus esp the outdoor onsen. Access was mainly by car but we chose to stay outside the city so this doesn’t affect us. Carpark was huge and was free to use for those who board. I would love to come again.
Location - near enough to station, near lots of good local eateries and walking distance to lots of key areas.
Comfort - we found the beds really comfortable
Room - we had the deluxe twin which was done really nicely with tatami mats in the room and huge beds
Value - we thought the price was very reasonable
Facilities - onsen was very nice and spacious and lollies were a treat
Pro:
- Location. It's right on top of the Hakata bus terminal, steps away from JR Hakata as well.
- Hot Spring (Onsen). Free to use onsen on the ground floor for any residents.
- Connected to Convenient Store next door through ground floor entrance.
- Helpful front desk staff.
Everything is more than our expectation!! The hotel is very new vey clean and very quiet. Staffs are friendly. the room is very good and big enough for our family with a bit space for sitting around the small table on tatami mat. Subway is almost in front of the hotel as well as Family mart is just across the road. MaxValue is about 3 min walk from hotel and can walk to canal city. The public bath feel like onsen.
Great experience in a Japanese ryokan in town! Set amidst local neighbourhood. Quite a few convenience shops and eateries around. Very compact place with shared bathroom and toilets, even had a bathtub-onsen for one of the bathroom. About 20-25min walk to Tenjin station or 10mins to Yafuin Station.
