We’ve been to the North and South of Pemba and Emerald Bay was our favourite place. The daily boat tours and excursions in this stunning place were fantastic. Luca showed us his favourite hidden beaches and sandbanks, and how to move through the bay according to the tides. These have been the warmest, clearest, and most spectacular beaches we've ever been in. The hotel meals are amazing, including lots of fresh local fruits and italian-swahili inspired dishes at dinner. The owner Luca will take excellent care of you and the staff is also very kind and attentive.

El Gecko Nature Lodge Home of Swahili Divers the BEST dive center and Famous Gecko Restaurant alberga un centro de buceo y está situado en la localidad de Makangale, en la zona norte de Pemba. We didn't expect to receive such a great welcoming experience from the staff starting from Jennifer, the manager, and from the all team. They are such nice team and treat you as part of their family. The food is so delicious and well finished. Moreover all the dishes written in the menu have always been available. The place is located on the northwest side close to Pemba Paradise, wumawimbi beach and the forrest, sourrend by monkeys and bushbaby! You can enjoy the magic sunset thanks to a nice spot in front of the sea and enjoy the barrier reef through snorkelling and scuba diving! Lovely recommended!
