Santa Bárbara Eco-Beach Resort is located in Ribeira Grande, north coast of São Miguel Island. Location- right on a cliff overlooking a beautiful black sand beach. Perfect! Rooms, spacious with a private hot tub that was quite relaxing. Breakfast- just the right amount of local products with the included option of made to order eggs and other quality items. Very well prepared!

Friendly and helpful staff who greeted you with a smile whenever you met. Hi light was spotting dolphins from pool terrace. So sorry to leave.

The room was beautiful and clean and did not have carpets which can be a trigger for allergies for me. But most of all the staff were very helpful and welcoming. The steak dinner Philp prepared for me was the beast I have had in a really long time. All the meals I had were very tasteful and worth coming back for.
