Featuring direct beach access, this resort has a barbecue area overlooking the ocean. Each self-contained apartment includes a private balcony or patio. We stayed on the top floor in an apartment facing the ocean. I think it was number 8. It was perfect. We could cook our own meals in the well equipped full kitchen. It was well laid out to sleep a family of 4 and the beds were comfortable. We slept so well because of the black out blinds and lapping ocean just outside, My 22 year old daughter enjoyed using the trampoline and we both enjoyed the hot tub and having our meals on our balcony overlooking the beautiful view, The hosts were also lovely and very helpful with suggestions as to things to do. it was well located to walk and drive to different sites to visit in the surrounding areas. A nice bonus is it also had Netflix to relax at night with a movie, Because of the lack of noise and light pollution, star gazing was at its best. I would highly recommend this property.

Beachside Resort Motel is less than 5 minutes walk from Whitianga centre and less than 100 metres from Buffalo Beach. The hotel has an outdoor pool and a tennis court. Our 'town house' accomodation was obviously spacious, and very well appointed. 2 bedrooms, 2 bath/shower rooms, large kitchen/diner and washer dryer in the house, this was an extremely comfortable stay. Add to this the pool and ample parking, as well as being in a prime location, this is an excellent place to stay Great staff

You can walk to Cathedral Cove from Hahei Beach Resort, follow the beach and connect to the Cathedral Cove walkway (the walk takes about 1 hour each way). The view was out of this world, the comfort was amazing too.

Just 8 minutes’ walk from Whangamata Beach, Palm Pacific Resort & Motel boasts an outdoor pool, a hot tub and a tennis court. Exceptionally clean and well maintained property with pool, hot tub and tennis court. Staff was very friendly and welcoming

Located on The Esplanade overlooking Tairua Harbour, Paku Lodge Resort offers self-contained accommodation with a private balcony and harbour views. We were really pleasantly surprised with this accommodation. Room was very clean and well set up with everything we needed. There was an easy walk to an excellent restaurant (Tairua Beach Club) which was a great spot for drinks and dinner and a beautiful sunset view.

Located next to the Lost Spring Thermal Pools, this resort offers direct access to Buffalo Beach and has a heated outdoor pool, tennis court and a children's playground. Great location close to beach, restaurants and pier. Can access the Lost Springs Geothermal Pools and Spa through a gate at the back of the property. We were given a 3 level apartment that could have slept 7.
