Beautiful design and very cozy for the polar night. Great surprise to have free access to snow shoes and poles. Property had good and fast communication. Full kitchen helpful as the town only has one restaurant which was closed for our stay.

Staff were very accommodating and allowed late check in after calling to explain expected late arrival. The living area was lovely and breakfast very nice.

Malangen Resort offers rooms with fjord views and self-catering cottages and apartments with a seating area and a bathroom with shower. This resort was everything I ever dreamed it would be! We rented a car and drove from Tromso. We spent two nights in a cabin and one night in hotel both had amazing views and we enjoyed both the same! We were fortunate to see northern lights 2 out of 3 nights we were there! The guides are amazing for the excursions and really make the experience! But you will be cold (as expected) and its a 1km uphill walk to most of them so I’d recommend booking excursions on separate days for your experience to be most enjoyable especially if traveling with kids. Definitely book excursions early as they do book out!
