Permai Rainforest Resort is an eco-friendly resort at the foot of Mount Santubong, a 5-minute walk from Sarawak Cultural Village. The resort offers a café and barbecue facilities.

Each cabin at Permai Resort is equipped with a fridge and tea/coffee maker. En suite bathrooms come with hot shower facilities. We loved staying at this unique spot in the jungle. The rooms were so clean and well kept and the large windows look out onto the canary with the sound of the ocean just beyond the trees. We were here during the offseason so there was not much in the way of kayaking or tour activities but we still enjoyed hiking and walking to the nearby cultural center. We saw monkeys every day and lots of birds and a monitor lizard. If the jungle pool doesn’t suit you the beaches are close and so beautiful! The staff was very wonderful at both the reception and the restaurant. We had an AC issue one day and they responded immediately to help us be comfortable. This is a rustic location that despite its remoteness and jungle setting is clean, safe and comfortable. Highly recommend
