We had the best-ever family holiday in Taj Exotica. The best check-in experience where we were taken direct from boat to our villa. The ocean villa itself was breathtakingly amazing. We had fruit, chocolates and drinks waiting for us in the room. My kids had absolutely nothing to complain about which is the highest level of praise in our family. The food was amazing with a large menu. The island itself is beautiful with a perfect mix of sandy white beaches and a massive lagoon around it. We had very choppy boat rides both in and out of the resort and it was raining for half of the stay but we still had the time of our lives. We also had a stay at a different resort right before coming to Taj where I am a Platinum member but the experience at Taj made our previous stay feel ordinary. Based on our stay in 2 other resorts, I would recommend Taj Exotica to anyone visiting Maldives for the first time. It provides the complete package and the full Maldives experience. Both beach villas and ocean villas are nice but if you have to pick one, go with an ocean villa. I had doubts about spending so much money on one holiday and many others will do too. However, the cost and the logistics are totally worth it. If you are in doubt or considering other cheaper options, my advice is to stop your search and go ahead with Taj. Every staff member was super-friendly. Special thanks to Aika, Nadeem, Haneef and the lady (unable to recall her name) who checked us in for making this a memorable experience. Without a doubt, this was the best resort experience and I highly recommend it. Worth every penny!

Als je op zoek bent naar een eilandparadijs met chique eenvoud in een charmante tropische omgeving, dat alleen toegankelijk voor volwassenen, dan is het witte zand en het azuurblauwe water van het... From the moment we got off the boat transfer we were made to feel special, our host Jenny looked after us straight away. Jenny took us for a guided tour of the island, explained to us about the restaurants and any special events happening that week, if we needed to book any other restaurants we just had to text her, and she sorted it out. We were staying in a deluxe over water villa, the room was fantastic, very well equipped, and well laid out. The villa has direct access to the sea as well as very comfortable sun beds and a day bed. Unfortunately, the Wi-Fi in the rooms is very poor to the point of non-existent, I would expect better in a hotel of this standard. The quality and variety of food in the restaurants was amazing, we especially liked Baan Huraa and Cumin. There was an excellent variety of food available for breakfast, we loved the fresh fruit and pastry we were given while we waited to choose our breakfast. We booked the beach BBQ for one night, although this isn’t covered by the food package it was well worth the money. The food was amazing, the location, atmosphere and music made it one of our best nights of the holiday. We also loved Dhoni bar, we had lunch there most days, we were always served by Faz, who deserves a special mention. She always greeted us with a smile, a cold drink and cold towel. The bar man Champika also deserves a special mention, he would always have drink on the bar for us. If there wasn’t a cocktail on the menu my wife liked Champika would look it up and make it for her. We took out the drinks package for the 7 days we were there, I would strongly recommend taking this option for peace of mind. The beach was really well kept, the sunbeds were well spaced apart, each sunbed had a button for you to order drinks on the beach. The whole holiday experience was magical, and we will certainly be returning as soon as we can.
