Das Hondaafushi Island Resort ist von viel Grün und Natur umgeben. Alle unsere Bungalows sind komplett freistehend und liegen zum Strand. Jeder Bungalow bietet viel Privatsphäre für die Gäste. Herzlichen Dank für diese wunderschönen 6 Tage die ich mit meiner Mama hier verbringen durfte. Ich habe vor Ort ein Upgrade für den Deluxe Bungalow gemacht, da die normalen Bungalows teilweise weit weg vom Restaurant sind und meine Mama Knieprobleme hat. Es gibt auch kostenlosen Buggy Transfer, aber wir wollten nicht darauf angewiesen sein. Einmal mussten wir fast eine Stunde warten um von der Beachbar zum Bungalow zu kommen, deshalb war dieses Upgrade für uns die beste Entscheidung. Das WLAN im Zimmer war perfekt und richtig schnell. Die Zimmer wurden von Rashed (room 103) täglich piccobello geputzt und er überraschte uns auch mal mit einem eingelassenen Schaumbad mit Blüten, als wir vom schnorcheln kamen. Wir wurden jeden Tag in irgendeiner Form aufs neue überrascht. Der Transfer ist super durchorganisiert und man wird bei jeder Station vom Hondaafushi -Team in Empfang genommen. Wir haben keinen Ausflug gemacht sondern waren immer vor Ort schnorcheln. Babyhaie, Rochen, Muräne, viele bunte Fische kann man gut beobachten wenn man vom Schnorchelsteg Richtung Sunset-Beachbar schwimmt. Hier wächst ein neues Riff mit vielen bunten Fischen, Riesenmuscheln, Seegurken, lebende Korallen... Natürlich ist auch ganz viel tot, aber es wächst wieder... Für uns war es ein Mutter-Tochter Traumurlaub - es gibt NICHTS was ich negativ bewerten könnte. Wir lieben die asiatische Küche und deshalb war für uns auch das Essen genial.. Curry, Kartoffeln, Reis etc. zum Frühstück hab ich bereits bei anderen Reisen kennen und lieben gelernt, deshalb hats mich nicht überrascht. Pancakes und Waffeln hatte ich nie auf meinem Teller, aber gibt's natürlich auch. Es ist für jeden etwas dabei! Dadurch dass die Insel auch etwas größer ist, ist es auch nicht langweilig. Den "Dschungel" in der Inselmitte fand ich genial... Die Farben sind mega schön, auch wenn es regnet und auch bei Vollmondnacht ist das Meer türkis... Wahnsinn... Ich kann mich gar nicht genug bedanken ...

Das Barefoot Eco Hotel liegt am Ufer von Hanimaadhoo und bietet ruhige und komfortable Unterkünfte mit kostenfreiem WLAN in allen Bereichen. Well, I expected this place to be clean, remote from Male, meaning more beautiful and I am happy I made a choice and came here. Absolutely beautiful. I booked full board and I don’t regret it. I had a good appetite during my holiday. The hotel times shifts to +1 hr, so prepare to not miss any of the meals. Breakfast 7:45-10:15, lunch 13:00-14:30 and dinner 20:00-21:30. There is plenty to choose from, vegetables and fruits, every dinner and lunch variety of fish and meat. For breakfast you can ask eggs and pancakes to be prepared. I really liked that it was not many people in hotel and it felt very cool. Sunbeds on the beach, take any. I had a double room with patio and I just had the one closest to the beach. Perfect! Bins for plastic and paper everywhere on the territory. I saw someone complained of going to the bar and get a drink, I thought that would be a problem but in reality it wasn’t. We could give the order and drinks were delivered. Anyways walking 2-3 minutes to the bar and to enjoy and view is never an issue. The area is in the forest so there are lots of trees and palm trees. I felt similar like in Bali in Ubud. Water is provided in the room, tea and coffee sachets. There are plenty of excursions provided by diving center, choose and go. I liked that hotel provided 2 times a week a complimentary snorkelling trip. Yoga in the morning is also free and you just need to make an effort to wake up) I didn’t really use a swimming pool as I was more attracted to the ocean but pool is nice. There is no alcohol as it is not allowed but there is a little boat with boat bar and you can go there in the evening at 18:00 and 21:30 and enjoy a drink or two or three. I also used laundry facilities.
