Elena Garden Resort and Restaurant er staðsett í Trincomalee, nokkrum skrefum frá Uppuveli-ströndinni og býður upp á gistirými með garði, ókeypis einkabílastæði, verönd og veitingastað. Elena’s was the best! Perfect sized rooms, lovely bathrooms, great air con and wifi. Little hammocks out the front of your place and a beautiful 1 min walk to the beach. We realised it was way better than staying on the beach for us because was it was so quiet at night, but you’re still practically beachfront. We extended our stay 2 times, to stay at Elena’s and in Trincomalee in general. Elena and all staff were so helpful and accommodating for whatever we needed (tuk tuk, a late night beer, extra bedding and even offered me a yoga mat!) Already dreaming of coming back here! Thanks so much Elena and co!!! Also Hawaii snack bar at the end of the street on the beach is another place we’ll dream about till we die, must eat there everyday :)

Blue Diamond Resort státar af sjávarútsýni og býður upp á gistingu með einkastrandsvæði, innisundlaug og garði, í um 400 metra fjarlægð frá Uppuveli-ströndinni. The location is very good right next to Trincomalee beach. Lovely rooftop with nice views of the beach. Good swimming pool to refresh after a long day at the beach. The best thing about the hotel is the staff. They are so welcoming and friendly and able to arrange whatever you want to do in Trincomalle. Vincent was very helpful and a great guy. Would highly recomend.

The facility/hotel is surrounded by a beautiful garden and in itself is a paradise. The hotel's pool is also large enough to accommodate people, and I see that they try to maintain it each day. There is a beach access with sun beds available for use. The room we had was huge, and the toilet/bath is also spacious and modern looking. The bed is very comfortable with 4 huge pillows. They provide beach towels and towels inside the room. SriLankan breakfast is a very good option out of all the breakfast options, in my opinion. They've organised an evening barbecue by the beach and I would say it was a very nice experience. Even though they are short staffed, they have managed to attend to guest's needs. Yasu and Ramil and all other staff will help as much as they can to make your stay pleasurable.

I had booked elsewhere but the government visit in Trincomalee precluded staying closer. And I am so glad it did! Greeted at the gate, low key administrative requirements. Super attentive staff. The restaurant served delicious meals with smiles. The pool is delightful-Just right for relaxing near the amenities. And then a short stroll (150 meters) to the beach. The sand is clean and easy to walk on. The water was photo blue - straight from a postcard. My first 2 days the wind blew and there waves were breaking fairly close to shore. The last days - nearly calm. And the beach in both directions was nearly abandoned. A few fishermen going about their business. A few teens walking along from one place to another. That was it. Distance to town - about 15 minutes in car/tuk tuk. But other than for business reasons, I did not bother. When the bells ring during the day it is the Hindu temple just south of the resort - take the time to visit. It is an artistic wonder, so close to the saltwater yet so colorful. What a wonderful relaxing place to stay!! I hope to have a repeat visit. PS I did go scuba diving while in Trincomalee and highly recommend Epic Ocean Adventure, located in the commercial part of the town, 15 minutes from 108 Palms Resort.

Offering an outdoor swimming pool and a spa and wellness centre, Amaranthe Bay Resort & Spa is located just 5 km north of the Trincomalee town on the beautiful East Coast of Sri Lanka. AMAZING! We had the most amazing stay here. We were celebrating our anniversary and my boyfriends birthday here. They suprised us with balloons and a birthday cake in the room, the next day with another ‘anniversary’ balloon and a fruit platter. The service was so good and the swimming pool was amazing. The people at the reception and breakfast were so kind!! We booked the junior suite room with a jacuzzi with the most beautiful view we had ever seen. We would reccomend this to everybody.
