I was the only guest staying at the property at the time. The room was spacious and would be perfect for even a longer stay. The shared facilities included a bathroom with a tub on the first floor, as well as a small kitchenette on the second floor. The cleanliness was top notch, I have no complaints. The owner was the friendliest ever. He gave me a ride to the Seven Waterfalls of Kawazu and had made coffee for me in the morning, even though I had to leave early to catch a train. I would recommend this accommodation to anyone traveling to Kawazu!

Place has a vibe of old castle with amazing nature, views and hot springs. The building itself is grand and old fashioned, golf fields are very cared. Golf club members wake up early in the morning and spend all day long playing golf so I was alone in this castle enjoining environment, playing piano and visiting spa zone.

Hotel New Akao is a 10-minute ride from JR Atami Train Station, and a free shuttle is offered. The food at both restaurants was great and the views from the room were beautiful. Our first Onsen experience and we loved it
