Onomichi
Offering 3 restaurants, public baths and an outdoor pool with a panoramic view of the ocean, Bella Vista Spa and Marina ONOMICHI is a property located in Onomichi, just a 40-minute drive from JR Fukuyama Shinkansen Station. Free WiFi and wired internet access is available in all guest rooms. Breakfast was good. Service generally good. However most reception staff could not communicate in English whereas restaurant staff did better. Kudos to the part-time barista Cristina who not only could communicate well but conducted herself so well as a concierge in checking and making several arrangements for a side trip for us that the regular staff at reception were unable to do. She was personable, resourceful and went out of her way to support us. We expected this level of service from the hotel’s regular staff which was lacking.
Etajima
Uminos Spa & Resort is situated on the beachfront in Etajima, 18 km from Naval History Museum and 20 km from Etajima Park. Each accommodation at the 3-star hotel has sea views and free WiFi. There is a restaurant serving Japanese cuisine, and free private parking is available.
Mihara

Very cosy, spacious, comfortable and scenic view of the pond from the patio. Well decorated with thoughtful home items for comfort like heaters everywhere, blanket for outdoor, thick bathrobe. Good size bath tub to soak and rocking chairs at the patio.

Chose a room with it's own private onsen. It was stunning. The buffets had amazing selection and the resort has it's own Karaoke room!
Luxury, location, spacious room, lovely staff
The hotel designer needs a raise because the hotel was nothing short of elegance and pure luxury! And of course the hotel staff matched the hotel's energy. Amazing customer service 👏 Breakfast was great! Don't think twice if you're thinking about booking!
Large room, bathroom and toilet (plus extra facilities like cooking utensils). Vending machine really good value. Staff friendly and helpful. Only 5 minutes walk from JR station and 30 mins walk to Peace Park (or take the tram from the nearby station). Not luxury but good.
I like that this property is away from the hustle and bustle of “tourist center”. Despite the distance, the hotel offers really good on-demand transportation service. I feel truly on vacation and able to relax in the facility, there’s a sense of calm and traditional Japanese resort feel. Situated next to the waterway with views of fishermen going out to sea in the morning and deer, lots of deer grazing along the edge of water and garden; quaint!
What a beautiful hotel. Located right on the station it was the perfect start to our short but sweet stay in Hiroshima. It was the only time in our 3 week trip that we booked into a luxury, Western style hotel but it was really nice to do that for one night (especially after an emotional afternoon at the A-Bomb Dome, Peace Park and museum). A really, really nice hotel with beautiful facilities and wonderful staff.

This hotel is part of the APA chain, which is known for "simplified luxury". What this means is that the hotel offers a lot in a very reduced space. This hotel even had a very nice onsen on the second floor, which was nice after a heavy day of sight-seeing. For a hotel with many guests, they managed the breakfast crunch very professionally. We felt there were equal parts tourists and business travelers.
Not luxury venue but comfortable with perfect location for our interests, good transport connections, everything was provided in the hotel, including buffet breakfast options, helpful staff who understood English
