I love the spaciousness of the whole house. Owner was very welcoming and explained everything to our family of 6! Demonstrated how to use all the facilities and the do’s and do not’s. The rooftop balcony is lovely and I wish I had such a sanctuary at my own home!

Located in Mino, 45 km from Nagoya Castle, Machiya Hotel oyado baison provides accommodation with a garden, free private parking and a shared lounge. Beautiful little town, this hotel was quite the experience. As traditional as you're gonna get.

Located in Takayama city, Hotel Associa Takayama Resort offers hot spring baths and rooms with mountain views and free WiFi. The hotel features a sauna and massages. We traveled with a toddler and this is no easy feat but the hotel had a designated play room with books, toys galore, coloring materials, stuffed animals and even a ball pit! The onsen was so relaxing after a long day of walking and the views are spectacular. If you enjoy a good breakfast then you’re in luck because the buffet offers not only a good variety but also quality. The shuttle service was really the star, without it this place would be out of the way. I would stay here again!
