nice room
The hotel is kind of resort style even in the middle of the city. There is welcome drink that you can take with coupon start from tea, coffee, juice and even draft beer. Not so far from JR station. The room is big for 4 people and toilet and bathroom separate. The sink is outside, so if you travel with many family member, make it easier and no need to wait too long.
The resort offered varied extras such as sake tasting, a fire pit, and of course extensive public and private baths. Also very quiet and comfortable rooms
Breakfast and Dinner that in included in the room package is excellent。 There was plently of food every meal. It was definitely a eye opener for traditional Japanese food. We travelled with 3 young kids and they provided diaper bins, kids shower gel, toothpaste, kids yukata. I am surprised by how kids friendly the resort are.
This historic family run ryokan is absolute luxury and very special indeed. A highlight of our trip to Japan in many ways!
The resort is beautiful, and the onsen is very enjoyable. As well as the public baths, there are private indoor and outdoor baths that we really enjoyed. The room was lovely and huge - yet cosy - with a stunning view of the mountains.
Facilities and services are very nice! Staffs are very friendly, we love the environment so much which is very pleasant and we have a super nice stay in the resort:)
This Ryokan has a “luxury” and modern feel to it. It could easily be branded as Aman or a Rosewood Hotel since the upkeep and products / amenities used are of very high quality. The room was incredible and very tastefully designed; a mix between dark and light wood. Beds were super comfy, amazing Yukatas to wear around the hotel. Small private onsen and 2 semi private onsen with great Mountain View. Dinner and breakfast were incredible and only high quality and seasonal ingredients were used.
- The property is new, clean and comfy. - The room and bed are quite big with some space for big luggages (although 2 pax in). - Also like about power outlets which are quite a few more than typical hotel/ resort in Japan. There are USB and USB-C ports as well as normal outlets. - PJ provided 😍 - The welcome matcha cream crackers were very nice.
Loved this experience. Indoor onsen and private outdoor onsens. Outstanding kaiseki meal, and lovely service. Really nice room, clean, warm and comfortable. Fantastic drinks and snacks on arrival, and access to all sorts of card and board games, and useful tourist information. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Close to the Shinhotaka ropeway, ski resorts and the partially frozen Hirayu waterfall. Highly recommend. Great value for money.
I liked that the property is nearly all-inclusive. The onsen facilities were very nice and there are two massage chairs in the room adjacent. There is a room with table tennis on the second floor which is fun. A nice buffet breakfast and dinner are served. I enjoyed the atmosphere. Staff are great and patient about visitors who don’t speak much Japanese. Many English speaking staff.
