Gold Coast Holiday Golf and Sports Resort is a coastal retreat in County Waterford, Ireland, overlooking Dungarvan Bay and just 4km from Dungarvan town. the house was stupendously big. 9 could have slept in it!

Very relaxing to have a couple of nights at a lovely castle hotel. Check in was easy with friendly staff. The room was very nice, clean and the bed comfortable. It's a very quiet location and although the weather wasn't great, we walked around the outer edge of the island (takes about 1½ hours at a steady pace and very little traffic noise from the mainland). We ate in the restaurant the first evening and you couldn't fault the food although we did get the slight impression that the meal was slightly biased to quantity rather than quality. Very nice stay overall
