De villa is prachtig en stijlvol ingericht, het personeel is ontzettend lief en behulpzaam, het eten was ook super lekker! De kamer werd ook elke dag op en top gepoetst, dit hebben we nog gezien. Dit was voor ons het beste verblijf wat we ooit gehad hebben, alles was perfect van begin tot eind! Dit is de ideale plek om van hier uit Sumba te ontdekken, ook hier helpen zij je mee.

Cap Karoso Sumba - a member of Design Hotels is een accommodatie met 5 sterren tegenover het strand in Tambolaka met heeft gratis fietsen, een buitenzwembad en een fitnessruimte. Prachtige ligging aan het strand, lief behulpzaam personeel, die allemaal goed Engels spraken. En in de omgeving waren leuke plaatsjes om met scooter, fiets of chauffeur naar toe te gaan. Eten was ook uitzonderlijk goed, alles kwam van eigen boerderij. Kortom………we hebben genoten, maar 3 nachten was dan ook genoeg

NIHI Sumba - 50 Best Hotels of the World heeft een tuin, een privéstrand, een gedeelde lounge en een terras in Watukarere. Our stay at NIHI have been beyond amazing. We stayed at 2 different villas: Lontoro & Lamba. Reaching NIHI was very smooth & hassle free thanks to the hotel staff located at both airports: Bali & Tambolaka. Upon arriving at bali airport the staff have already prepared the boarding passes & took care of our check in luggage without requiring our presence at the checkin counter. We were escorted through the customs to the gate and the staff stayed around for any help until we started boarding. Arriving at tambolaka we were welcomed by NIHI Staff and we waited a really short time at the lounge while they took care of our luggage. Then we got into NIHI’s amazing safari car equipped with wifi, drinks & snacks. We reached our destination in one and a half hour. Regarding our stay, the rooms were spacious, clean and air conditioned. It was all inclusive (breakfast, lunch, dinner) even room service! The staff was very responsive on whatsapp before arriving since we had few questions to ask and even after arriving our guest captain Maxy was very available, helpful and quick. All staff members were friendly, smiling all time and were addressing our needs. The spa experience was beyond amazing. They took us to the spa by safari cars since it’s located out of NIHI area. Our lunch was ready before our treatments with amazing views. Our daily favourite moments were at morning when horses are by the beach and we swam with them and at sunset the magical view (from our villa or the boat house) with live music. Additionally, we are plant based and our dietary requirements were very met by the chef, delicious 3 meals per day were prepared. Definitely coming back again and highly recommended. Lelewatu Resort Sumba biedt gratis WiFi en kamers met airconditioning in Watukarere. De accommodatie biedt natuuractiviteiten rond het eiland, evenals een buitenzwembad en een fitnesscentrum. A very unique place with jaw-dropping views. Everyone is very friendly, the food is good and the place is heaven. Feeling very lucky and grateful we could stay there. Watch for the dolphins in the morning.

KANDORA Luxury villas heeft gratis fietsen, een buitenzwembad, een tuin en een privéstrand in Maujawa. We stayed at Kandora for three nights in March of 2024. It was an absolutely delightful stay. Our room was wonderful. It was spotless and decorated beautifully. We had a large private living area and an elegant outdoor shower in an enclosed courtyard. We spent our days touring the eastern part of Sumba and walking and shell collecting on the endless beach which backs up to the Kandora. We swam daily in the Savu Sea and the beautiful Kandora pool. Our meals, especially breakfast, were delicious. The staff at Kandora are incredible. Iwon manages the hotel and saw to our every need from personally meeting us at the airport to preparing our evening cocktails. Angela and Chef Dwi prepared great meals served by Mia. Kandora’s location on the northeast coast of Sumba is ideally situated to explore the rich heritage and natural resources of the eastern part of the island. Our Sumbanese driver Michael spoke perfect English and his local knowledge was enlightening . After a day of exploring there is nowhere better to return to than the luxury and comfort of the Kandora and its amazing staff. We really hated to leave and in retrospect wished we had stayed a few more days.

The food is amazing. Fresh and made with local ingredients. We loved each meal. Perfect spot to relax and enjoy the peacefulness of the island. The owners are kind and very friendly. We loved every minute in here. Everything was homecooked and made we love. There is no plastic and waste in here and there is free water to have at all times.
