Situated in Embo, Highland Holiday Getaways - The Heilan Lodge offers a heated pool. There is an on-site restaurant, plus free private parking and free WiFi are available. Lovely and pretty with all well equipped essentials and comfort.

Macdonald Lochanhully Woodland Club offers pet-friendly accommodation in Carrbridge. Free private parking is available on site. The rooms have a flat-screen TV and DVD player. Dog friendly. Lovely grounds and cabin was clean and comfortable.

Macdonald Spey Valley Golf & Country Club is set in Aviemore. The resort has a championship golf course, and leisure facilities that include a swimming pool, hot tub and sauna. The town is small, peaceful and quiet but a tourist attraction (mainly holiday goers) so it had all the services and facilities we needed. It’s also in the middle of the highlands, with many, many activities, attractions and beautiful nature all around. It’s also a few hours drive from other Highland locations, such as Loch Ness, Fort William, Inverness, Glencoe, Isle of Skye (which we didn’t visit because it’s 3 hours away and I had little kids). We stayed for a week in Aviemore but we could have stayed more since everyday was filled with activity and interesting things to do.

Beautiful forest and kids play area.
