Whitsunday Sands Resort is uniquely located on its own private peninsula, by the turquoise waters of the Great Barrier Reef. It offers all guests private access to 2 separate, magnificent beaches. It was a comfortable stay for the purpose of our trip (stayover en route from Townsville to Mackay). The room would have been too small for a longer stay with my children of 16+. Very clean. Friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful location. Parking close to accommodation.

Opposite a family friendly beach, Shelly Bay Resort provides 4-star fully self-contained apartments, with views of Hervey Bay from every apartment. We liked everything there. The location was right across from the beach and lots of cafes and restaurants were on the street. Great car park, lovely sea view from the clean and spacious room that had washer and drier, we enjoyed every aspect of the accommodation.

Lovely resort with restaurant and bars. Beautiful bathroom but the door wasn't very private. The continental breakfast was great. Excellent coffee. Pool lovely and heated. Amazing view. ☕

The view to die for. We wanted to be relaxed and lazy and we were. Beautiful little township. Well priced we thought. Very secure. The villas are amazing.
