Four Seasons Resort Hualalai, hotel in Kailua-Kona

Located along the Kona-Kohala coast of Hawaii Island, the Four Seasons Resort Hualalai features even swimming areas, five dining options, and ocean views.

We loved everything at the Four Seasons Hualalai Resort on the Big Island: the staff, the golf course, the spa, the paddleboarding, poolside with yummy free treats, the hotel itself and the restaurants. Miller and Lux, Tyler Florence's restaurant was off seriously off the charts. We even were seated next to a well known celebrity and his wife which was fun to see, but we did not disturb them. Dinner at the Beach Tree with the Luau was outstanding. Dinner at Sushi and Robata was also excellent. 10 out of 10!

The condo was beautiful, spacious, with everything you could think you might need. The kitchen was super well-equipped, and there was common cooking stuff like salt and oil for common usage - which was useful for us. The resort is very nice, although the condo is quite far from the main pool and restaurant. The location is good, but after visiting the island maybe not the best for us. Pools were clean and nice, and not overcrowded.

The condos are huge. Think early 90s luxury. The AC works really well and there are plenty of pools to choose from so it was never crowded. Location was good if you have a car. 15 minutes drive to old Kona town. Also very close to the Manta Rays snorkel area, which is 10 minutes walk away. It looks like the main drawcard of this resort is tennis and pickleball, because they have a massive number of courts which are very well maintained.

The location was great and can’t beat the price we just needed an easy night stay and so a resort/hotel would have been outrageous. This is a home share private bedroom in a condo complex. It was super clean and the entire apartment was really nice, open and clean. The host was kind and did give us space she wasn’t in the home most of the stay.

The location was outstanding - It is central to all the great eateries and activities. Also, the grounds were impeccably clean - as well as very inviting with the ease of entry and ease of exit. I felt safe and well attended to by staff ! We are very glad that we chose Kona Coast Resort. We hope to be back again.

This was my second stay and we were here for 3 nights. The room is quite large. The balcony was overlooking the ocean and was a lovely sight to wake up to each morning. The resort restaurant had some of the best food and cocktails I’ve ever had. The rock pool for swimming had a lot of fish so it was a nice place to snorkel. The hotel is in a central location and easy to get to everything in Kona.

We were accommodated right away when we requested a different room, away from the elevator; the room was cool and comfortable; the lagoon was highlight; the luau was a great experience; the location of the resort was unbeatable; the pillows and towels were numerous; the sounds of the birds singing daily was wonderful!
