Cinnamon Wild Yala, hotel in Yala

Only a 5-minute drive from the famous Yala National Park is Cinnamon Wild Yala. It boasts chalets with private balconies and free Wi-Fi. It features an outdoor pool and a restaurant.

Breakfast spread was awesome, the aunties by the thosai and appam counters were lovely, happy to oblige all our requests. The pool was nice to chill at, and the staffs were amazing. One of them even randomly said - did you see the elephant? We quickly followed him and saw "short tail" the resident elephant chomping away. The staffs stayed with us the whole time and kept us safe. One staff even followed us to the beach and the lake side to ensure tht we're safe We missed the leopard sighting tho :( we saw so many random animals at the resort while walking to the restaurant, beautiful views of water buffaloes, crocodiles and peacocks chilling together at the lake. truly a great experience

Yakaduru - Yala, hotel in Yala

Yakaduru Yala is located on the buffer Zone of Yala National Park. It's just 5 minutes away from the Yala National Park Entrance.

Amazing facilities, it really felt like you were on a safari adventure! It was exceptionally clean and the staff even made the effort to check the room for mosquitos and snakes etc before bed. It has a lovely pool. Yakaduru has the rock on site which is accessible to walk up for sunset and look over Yala. The staff set up a special traditional dance performance for us which was great to immerse ourselves in the culture. Additionally, the evening jungle walk (included in the price) was great, the guide was fantastic but unfortunately we did not catch his name to give him a special mention. I would absoloutley recommend this stay. It was easy to contact the team via whatsapp to arrange any additional activities. We had the jeep to ourselves on the safari and as we booked in advance, Yakaduru arranged priority entrance tickets to the park so we did not have to wait long and were some of the first in Yala. Waruda was kind enough to send the pictures he captured on his camera from our safari over to us! It was great to talk to Nishatha about his experience as a ranger. He was increadibly knowledgable about all things nature. It is clear the whole team are committed to nature preservation. We were lucky enough to see 2 leopards and lots of other amazing wildlife.

Uga Chena Huts - Yala - All Inclusive, hotel in Yala

Located in the deep south of Sri Lanka, Chena Huts is just 5-minute away from Yala National Park.

This place was paradise! I didn’t want to leave! There was an elephant on the beach when we arrived for drinks the late afternoon which was so cool! Food & Drinks 10/10 – this was a la carte, absolutely delicious… it was like dining at a top tier restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner! Hotel 10/10 – you are wowed everywhere you turned Room/ plunge pool 9.5/10 – The pool had leaves and some dirt in it but it was clean enough and refreshing – big enough to do a few laps. The veranda area was comfortable, we spent a lot of time here. The bed… I didn’t want to get out, it was so comfortable! The entire space was clean, smelt like you are in a spa and we were able to hook up our phones to play some music. The mini bar option were exceptional. Safari 10/10 – The safari was fantastic, with certified rangers who were very knowledgeable. They brought food and refreshments, and I think the other cars around us were jealous of our morning feast! The Team 10/10 – I have no words, they were exceptional! To customise your stay I think they ensure they have a member of the team that speaks the guest language, they do take a picture of you with your country flag (just for staff information), as far as I am aware it’s not share externally, but I thought this was a cute touch. They were so accommodating, and made you feel safe at all times – the resort was in the reserve and its open to all animals, so you can see what Yala National Park has install for you! I will definitely go back.

Allure Yala Luxury Suites by Allure Leisure, hotel in Yala

Situated in Yala, 8.5 km from Tissa Wewa, Allure Yala Luxury Suites by Allure Leisure features accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a restaurant.

My welcome on arrival was very nice, all the staff greeted me and smiled. It’s important that staff are confident to do this, even if they don’t speak much English. Ishan was very helpful and check-in went smoothly. Communication was good. The suite was very comfortable, I like the space that it has, and the seating / dining area was nicely arranged. The plunge pool was both refreshing and private. All furnishings were tastefully chosen and very good quality bed linen and towels. The shower was good. The view of the lake from the verandah is stunning and I had a peaceful time relaxing and taking in the view. Most important: I can see that you care about people. Thank you.

The warmest welcome from all staff, including the resort manager and Prince, the head of staff training. Our safari guide Avinka was the most knowledgeable and remarkable person. His tour of Yala was an incredible experience, we are so grateful for his expertise. The high tea, cocktails on the point and dinner were absolutely outstanding. The most attentive staff made for a truely wonderful experience. Thank you for having us to stay. It was a once in a lifetime opportunity.

Leopard Nest in Yala offers a unique glamping experience amidst nature. The tents are spacious and well-equipped, providing comfort without losing the sense of adventure. The staff is attentive and the food is delicious, often featuring local cuisine. However, being close to wildlife means occasional encounters with insects and other creatures, so be prepared. Staff were very nice especially the camp manager. Staff do go above and beyond to try to ensure a great experience. Location is remote and it was nice to give a different experience to our kids instead of resorts and hotels.
