The vibe of this place is great. Whether you like it depends on your own expectations. Personally, I think minimalism is great and I think the is room super nice and clean. Yes, there is music - but if you book right on the beach in a busy area, you should be aware of that. Especially as I didn't find the music too loud. I was able to sleep really well. We stayed in a lot of hotels on our trip and street noise bothered me a lot more. The guys who work at Skye Breeze are incredibly friendly and helpful. I also liked Unawatuna much more than Mirissa. Unawatuna was our last stop and we just wanted to relax and chill at the beach for a while.

Amazing colonial property in the seafront. Lovely swimming pool area with beach right in front. Staff is super friendly and the overall facilities are well managed.
We also found the food lovely and the rooms very spacious. Gym is small but has all that is needed for a quick vacation workout.

Nice bungalows in a beautiful garden with outdoor bathroom. The room is spacious, breakfast is really good and its a calm and green place. The owner is very supportive with anything we asked for and made us feel comfortable and welcome. As there is not so much around it is helpful to rent a scooter to explore Koggala beach or other spots around!

Specially I recommend this place for solo travels (Girls), or if you’re with girl gang or kids, then you got the best safe place. The resort is in the best position on the whole beach. The cabana looks directly onto the crystal clear water surrounded by a protective reef. The water is full of tiny fish swimming in schools it is mesmerising to watch while you snorkel. There are also three turtles that hang out during the day you can buy sea grass from the locals to feed them - it is amazing.
Wave Beach Resort is located by the beach with loungers along with a bar and a restaurant. Great hot showers! Breakfast was good!

We had a really nice stay at Galawatta Beach Resort. The location of the cabana was perfect and right next to the beach. While snorkelling we saw plenty of turtles in the water. The place itself was really beautiful and well maintained.
The staff was very friendly and always helpful in everything. Especially the food was very tasty. We would highly recommend this place.
I’ve been staying at the Galawatta Beach Resort Villa for two nights, and this was the best choice to stay in Unawatuna. Amazing palm garden and calm ocean with turtles coming to eat greens. Nice fishes to be watched while snorkelling. Lovely terrace to spend time in the evening.
