We stayed here for 2 nights in November 1st week and below is our experience: 1. Room- The rooms are made of clay, bamboo since they are in the forest area so concrete construction is not allowed and they have thatched roofs. For ventilation, there are vents with bamboo railings on all 4 sides of the bed as there is no air conditioning in the rooms and it was manageable without it. Also, there is also solar energy cultivation and usage in the property. At night, you can’t use much lights as it attracts insects and bugs so you have to pretty much keep them off. There will be grasshoppers, insects and bugs around your mosquito net. But the staff is very helpful as every night they will clear out the bugs and use a bug repellent and incense stick so that there are less bugs in the room. We called them twice in the same day during our first day and they happily cleared the bugs out. The shower area is open to sky and it’s attached to the washroom so it gets a little tricky to use the washroom at night as insects or bugs might be crawling there. 2. Hospitality- The best part about the hotel is the staff, they are just lovely and very helpful folks. Anything that you need, they help you out. They also offered a complimentary ride to the Yala beach which was beautiful, had clear waters and inside the buffer zone. It was just so pristine 😁 Special mention to Nishantha who took us to the beach and we also spotted quite a few animals on the way. 3. Food- We were vegetarians and they served us fantastic food every meal. It was freshly prepared with local flavours like coconut gravy. They served 4 options of vegetarian curries with rice which was very filling and also asked us before every meal for suggestions for the next meal. Special mention to Kirula who went out of the way to cater to our needs and take care of everything from start to finish with a smiling face. 4.

Very calm and staff were very friendly specially Ishan managing the whole stay. Food was awesome!

The place was stunning, comfortable and lovely. We had the best BBQ of our lifes❤️ Silva (manager and guide) was a hidden gem of this place. He made us feel great and assured an amazing stay! King Reach also organized a great Safari where we could see a Leopard! Important: it is very rare to see a Leopard or Elefant (we didn’t see any) in yala at this time of the year. So remember it’s possible you come back just with some crocodile and monkey pics. Still it’s not the fault of the hotel or the Safari guide/driver the animals have enough food and water to stay in the bushes ! Thank you for this great experience!

Exellent Stay in Tissamaharama. Nice and very quite place. Clean room and nice view of the lake. They also have the nice pool. We get the dinner it was super. They packed our breakfast our next day morning .after the safari they arranged the taxi for us very reasonable price.everything was perfect .

This place was amazing. Nina’s give us all the good advices! He recommend and organized a half day safari. It was amazing. We saw all the animals in the park. After the safari he prepared lunch for us and showed us how to cook an eggplant curry in a simple way. It was delicious and cheap as well! He helped us to get to the bus station and explained in a really good way how to get to our next destination. Thanks you for your help and your kindness He is a great host! I will come back again

Beautiful location and cozy rooms, the pool was clean and refreshing. Breakfast was good. 5 minute walk to thissa lake, not much of a view from the room balcony apart from the pool view. Worth the price with the facilities they have.
