Gallene Gala Nature Resort, hotel in Kitulgala

Gallene Gala Nature Resort has an outdoor swimming pool, garden, a shared lounge and terrace in Kitulgala.

Mona (the host) is very lovely and made us the best meals. We thought it was a amazing that we only had to walk 1 minute to the private natural after a hot day. You will be in the middle of nature at this place and we loved it! We saw a lot of different small animals just by sitting outside our room and watching. It’s a quiet and calming place to get some rest after a day wildrafting ;). Be aware that it is a little bit of a difficult road to get to the accommodation.

Rafters Retreat, hotel in Kitulgala

Rafters Retreat is located amidst nature in Kitugala, Sri Lanka. At the property, guests can enjoy the views from their river-facing rooms, and arrange for an adventure filled day of white water...

the location is unbeatable!! as previous reviews state the property is a touch rundown. but if you look past that and enjoy it for what it it’s fantastic! right on the river (the noise of the river is like white noise I slept great!) the main house is rundown but it adds to the charm- have a walk through and it’s like being in 1885 (or whatever era it was built) I had lunch - buffet which groups who just do activities get- I didn’t mind it. breakfast was passable but nothing to write home about. the activities were perfect and they have the activity leaders on site so no wasting time going to a check in facility

Exceptional, unique resort! You fall asleep on the music of the jungle, see fire flies at night and wake up on the sound of crickets. We absolutely loved this place! The food was great and the tours they recommended us were great! Thanks you to the Wanakest crew, we had a memorable stay!

The resort is very new and there is everything you would need for a nice stay. The bed was super comfortable as well. The owners are lovely and make sure you are always comfortable. I would definitely recommend this place because it has a lot of potential! The location point is not correct on Google Maps, but you can get to the right place by following the directions in the previous review.

Lovely stay on the river listening to the sounds of nature while you sleep. One side of the chalets are fully open which is perfect for nature lovers. Surprisingly there are hardly any bugs in the chalets. They keep them really clean. Great value for money, and run by a great team. The meals are enormous and homely. They organise a lovely 1.5 hr rafting trip which ends at the resort itself for 35 usd. The rapids are light, nothing overbearing, great for beginners.

Sleeping in nature but with all the luxury of a normal room. Monkeys and other animals around. I was a super nice experience. Two things really stood out: the food and the lovely people.

Untouched nature resort in Kitulgala. We really enjoyed the gjrankitta stream bathing and playing some water activities in this lovely location. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Specially the chef kumara prepared us our own sri Lankan type meal deliciously.

I love the location so much. Because this resort is at the middle of a Jungle.its only 15min Drive from Famous tourist destination Kitulgala. It has got so many nice natural pools in bank of the girankitta stream. Its clam and quiet with the sound of native birds.

secluded and emerged in the rainforest with the grounds to walk, natural pools to swim in and the luxury of the beautiful building that overlooks the entire scene. Anthony and the staff went above and beyond to ensure that the stay was nothing short of perfect and chef Pradeep created the most outstanding Sri Lankan meals full of ingredients grown on the grounds for us and the children were spoilt too. Their highlight was being given umbrellas to dance in the rain!

Moksha is in the most beautiful setting of Kitulgala. Its a real luxury set within the true nature of the area. The rooms are a great size and well looked after. Having both the pool and the natural pools side by side are a real treat. The one aspect that stood out to me and my friends was the personal touch that the hotel gave us! It was something we had not experienced before. The staff were fabulous and attended to all our needs. The family that own Moksha are an absolute delight and we hope to see them again.
