Beautiful hotel in an ideal location for Petra. The hotel staff were exceptionally friendly, professional and attentive. Food and beverages were varied and good quality and the hotel is beautifully decorated.

The Grand Mecure upgraded my family to their partner hotel, The Movenpick. This hotel was conveniently located across the road from the Petra Visitor's center which made it so easy to visit the site. Additionally, the staff went out of their way to welcome us and ensure that we had all that we needed for our stay.
Formerly an ancient village called Taybeh, this 5-star resort offers stunning views of the Sharah Mountain Range. Facilities include a fitness room, a traditional hammam, and an outdoor pool.

To be fair, the rooms are gorgeous and the food is decent enough. The staff however, are a pack of rogues. This was flagged to us by the existence of off list, cash only items....which we let slide for a variety of reasons (we like wine)....
....then came the great laundry debacle. We specified no pressing because A, our stuff don't need it and B, it comes in tons of wasteful cardboard and plastic which in turn C, jacks up the cost....
Anyway, our stuff comes back finely pressed and wrapped in plastic and they're asking 91 dinars (that's 140 USD sports fans).....
....I ask them what planet they think I'm from and they respond that pressing is free. I want to laugh but am so angry that I give them a crash course in Australian swear words; the price magically drops to 60 JD.....By the time we've returned to the lobby with our bags, it has miraculously dropped to 30JD and comes with a plea not to leave ......
..... Sorry, but not giving these jokers any more money, you can if you want to.....we gave em their 30 and got the hell outta there

We liked almost everything at the resort and especially the friendliness of the staff. Room, amenities, pool, location and food and especially the setting as a "village" in a village are outstanding. We do highly recommend the place.
This is a beautiful hotel in a great location with a wonderful breakfast. The staff were exceptional and the accomodations were great! We visited Petra and stayed at the Petra Moon Luxury Hotel-not sure if the other Petra Moon Hotel is as nice as this one. Lovely roof top pool.
Very nice resort with the flavor of a historical village. It's a family run business and you can really feel the personal touch.
The rooms are spacious and you also have a terrace with sun loungers. Indoor and outdoor swimming pools.
