After booking in prior couple of days ahead, we went to the hotel just to know that their property is overbooked and we do not have any rooms available. The staffs in the reception were very irresponsible and made us waiting for 20 minutes just to say that their hotel is overbooked. They did not apologise or regret for what they have created for two women.

Wave a Lokam is Amazing, Writing this review feels essential because this stay was genuinely special. From the moment I arrived, I found a safe, welcoming space that felt like home, thanks to the hosts’ warmth and genuine care. I stayed for two days and could feel the love they pour into every detail.
They even have two adopted pets who traveled from Mumbai, and they are the sweetest, most well-behaved companions. You hardly notice they’re there – just calm, quiet, and adorable. The authentic kerala food is top-notch prepared at the stay by wonderful women team, with such care that every meal felt nourishing and comforting - Sabby thank you for preparing Maharashtra dish for us:)
If you’re looking for a peaceful, uncrowded place to unwind, this is the one. Every room is beautifully designed, with handpicked pieces that show the hosts’ dedication and taste. I had a lovely stay at this resort! The atmosphere is both comfy and cute, making it a perfect getaway. The beach is just a quick 3-minute walk away, and the cliffs are only a few minutes further, offering beautiful views.
The rooms were clean, although the bed and sheets could use some improvement. One standout feature was the receptionist, Jukaj, who was exceptionally kind and always ready to help with anything we needed, always greeting us with a beautiful smile. They even assisted us in renting bikes, which made exploring the area so much easier.
Overall, my stay was comfortable and pleasant. I would definitely recommend this resort to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway!

The resort is located in an isolated corner of the cliff, where there are 2 other resorts. Better to ask the resort to arrange for an auto/car/bike to move around.

We loved our stay at Maadathil cottages so much that we extended for an extra two nights! They were full so we were put in the Maadathil beach resort, just next door and had an even better view! The location is amazing, right on the beach and just a walk into Varkala cliff. The menu is great with many options, also it’s worth trying Babu farm for fish just a 5 minute walk away. The staff could not have been more friendly and accommodating. Overall we loved our stay and will be back.
Amazing stay at East west beach resort. It is located at very peaceful and scenic location, you can hear the waves crashing the rocks. Sabir went extra mile to provide us with fresh fish. Rooms were very clean and i will surely visit with my family, it's Heaven

Simply the kindest, most welcoming host. Great location set back from the helipad with a tranquil and bright front courtyard. Jijo and Girish are the heart and soul of this property. They are very caring, supportive and eager to help you out... always with a smile. Girish also has an ice cream parlor next to Clafouti Beach Resort. I recommend that place too.
