Harare is a world class city, very rich in history. The traffic congestion is a menace like most African cities! It boasts streets named after some great African statesmen like Samora Machel, Kwame Nkrumah, Sam Nujoma and a lot of others.
Zimbabwe is my home, so I will always love it. It's a very beautiful place. 😊 Harare is a pretty big city and it very nice. Getting around for me is easy, I am used to it. Fun activities, you could try go to Lake Chiwero, lion and cheetah park or Mukuvisi woodlands(which is close to Cresta Lodge) it's always very nice to see animals 😊
Harare is an amazing city if you allow yourself to see the beauty of the city. There are unique features that will leave you in awe of what Harare is capable of. A true underdog and definitely worth visiting.
I liked the different atmosphere. Harare is busy and full of business opportunities. There is a lot of entertainment for all sorts of individuals. You can't get bored esp over the weekend. It is filled with a lot of hotels and lodges therefore you have a wide range to choose from
I love the city, city of jacarandas and where there is always a tree with wonderful flowers ! Victoria 22 is a must visit restaurant in Harare !!!! So is leopard rock hotel in vumba, off Mutare city!!!
I don't like the roads of Harare, it is in a very bad state. The only thing I liked in Harare was my hotel, the hospitality I got and flying back home
We were only passing through Harare on our way to Victoria Falls. FYI we were unable to get cash from the ATM's but credit card/debit card is accepted in most places.
Harare - an unique example to witness how poor governance can destroy once excellent city infrastructure enjoyed earlier by the dwellers :-) I wish that having friendly and supportive people and huge potential for development, governance shall improve to give new generation new hope and commitments in reality
I was born in Harare so its always a pleasure of sending my family over there.
Harare has a cool weather which make it condusive for walks & staff..great CBD & just perfect food.
Harare
York Lodge is made of charming English bungalows (with modern amenities) in a lush green compound. Our compliments to Margot the owner for developing such a beautiful property with a blend of foliage (old trees and new plants and green islands) It was like staying in a botanical garden. Lounging on the broad verandahs, hearing sounds of birds and insects in the air conditioned temperature of Harare was bliss. The bungalows have modern amenities and this really helped us unwind!
Harare
Amazing place with so nice and warm owners. Barbara makes better overall experience in city Harare which is not so easy city at the first glance for non african. In the perfect area with greens and perfect silence. You do not have a feeling of being in chaotic Harare, feeling like being far away from city and you are literally in city. Nice apartment with everything inside and stable wifi..
The House and facilities were nice. Tv was nice too. The showers were clean, and the beddings were well kept. Many amenities are close by and there are taxis right outside the location. The single rooms were the best though if I have to say so. Accross the Harare Park, there's a nice place for breakfast call Afrotopia. Was a nice discovery especially if you like tea.
On arrival in Harare and after numerous calls I was then informed that they had secured a 30 day booking and couldn’t accommodate me. I was offered another place out of town which was completely different from what I had paid for. I stayed for 1 night and checked into a hotel.
It’s a basic hotel in downtown Harare (an area you should avoid unless you really need to). The service at the hotel was exceptionally good. The reception staff were incredibly helpful and professional.
The room was clean, had beautiful views of the Harare gardens and it was comfortable
Beautiful place . It's location just outside the CBD gives that peaceful and quiet environment.
