This former power station is located in Knysna and offers sunny suites with an iPod docking station and views of the Knysna Lagoon. The spacious sun deck comes with an outdoor pool. What an incredible decoration. The property is so pretty with all the turbines from the days the hotel was a power station, mixed with modern paintings and what not. Really adds to the atmosphere. It's connected to a gastropub which was very convenient in the evening because we were tired and didn't even have to leave the property to have a nice burger and beers(plus live music). The breakfast is amazing, I got myself a delicious eggs benedict with smoked salmon. There was loadshedding but the hotel honors its past and has a generator so we were not left in the dark. Finally, loved the vibe in Thesen Island, the canals, the calm streets, etc.

So stylish, friendly staff, the yummy breakfast (great fresh fruit selection and al the types of eggs on can wish for). All so pleasant on the eyes. Beach bar 150 meters from the property. Did I mention the staff?

This intimate property is located within the Garden Route, 10 km from Plettenberg Bay and 24 km from Knysna. This is without doubt the best hotel I have ever stayed at. The attention to detail and level of service is exceptional. I stayed on the way out to the eastern cape and was so impressed that I booked another two nights on the return journey. I was given an upgraded room as a loyal customer. They even washed my car! Three wonderful restaurants on site what’s not to love?

Located in Knysna, 6.1 km from Simola Golf and Country Estate, Knysna Hollow Country Estate provides accommodation with free bikes, free private parking, an outdoor swimming pool and a garden. We had a fantastic three-days stay at Knysna Hollow and it felt like just at home. The suites were large and the L’Occitane bath products gave our stay a really luxurious experience. We were most impressed with the staff who were incredibly warm and lovely - thank you, Claudene, Francois, and Roland! We were also able to borrow the bikes at property to the waterfront and Thesen Island and that was a really nice and refreshing way to explore the surroundings. We went to the restaurant which provided fantastic meals during loadshedding and the breakfasts were some of the best we had. We would definitely stay at Knysna Hollow again as we were sad to leave!!!
