There was a power failure due to a storm the previous day but emergency power did work ( lights / geyser ) Danie then quickly arranged dinner for us at Die Blou huis which was delicious ! We had a really pleasant and enjoyable stay !

Karen was very friendly when checking in and there is a high level of security at the property. Great WiFi also

Located within 500 metres of Calvinia Museum and 2.4 km of Calvinia Golf Club, Tarantula Guest House offers rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Calvinia. Our unit had its own private pool, which was wonderful after a long, hot day on the road. In addition to towels in the bathroom, beach towels were provided for the pool. The unit itself was large, comfortable, well equipped and clean. In addition to air-conditioning, the unit had solar-powered lights for load shedding. Check-in was easy and the hosts friendly and helpful. And the views were stunning!

It was much nicer than we expected. The room was stunning. The hostess was extremely friendly and helpful. She recommended a great restaurant for dinner. The next morning we had to leave early to get to Cape Town. She offered us a "to go" breakfast which was amazing! It held us through breakfast and lunch. I wish we had been able to spend more than one night here.

Situated in Nieuwoudtville, within 4.1 km of Hantam National Botanical Garden, Marigold is an accommodation offering garden views. The host was absolutely amazing, she made sure we had everything we needed. Her staff were welcoming and friendly. The property is a GEM! looking at the history of how they have renovated an old 1900's home to a modern art piece. Can't wait for my next stay at Marigold!

Offering a garden and garden view, Die Lemoenhuis is set in Calvinia, 2.6 km from Calvinia Golf Club and 3.2 km from Akkerendam Nature Reserve. Liz, Francois and the dogs were so welcoming! The cottage is beautiful, spacious, bright and nicely decorated. It is lovely and warm and the gas heater and electric blankets were great touches. Wifi works well and just a fantastic place to stay. Highly reccommend staying here:)
