The downtown had a nice feel to it. Plenty to do and see. The Oklahoma memorial and museum were extremely well done and moving. Bricktown was fun and the Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum was excellent.
Most people we met asked us why we had chosen to travel to Oklahoma city, it is not the most tourist spot in USA, but we managed to visit the Botanic Gardens which was quite small but pleasant. You pay to go into the Tunnel in the Botanic Gardens but outdoor area is free. Bricktown is a nice lively area with plenty of places to eat and there is a nice canal area. Warning -you really need to hire a car to get around. There are many shopping malls and fast food outlets, but remember to allow for local and state taxes and tips. The Olive Garden is a lovely restaurant with plenty of choice on the menu and really good value for non-fast food experience. The Cheesecake factory is also a nice place to eat with many healthy food options, but you cant find out the price of the cocktails until you get the bill!!! It is worth travelling out from the city to the Wichita mountains (spectacular) and see the various native Indian towns around - Cache is a small town near the mountains that is very authentic to visit and have a nice meal in the Goodness Cafe, also before heading back into the city stop off at the southern plains Indian museum in Anadarko - native Indian center there. The people in Oklahoma are very friendly and welcoming.
The range of food and shopping are great. Tried various eateries and truly enjoyed my stay there. The people of Oklahoma City are very friendly and kind. I drove whilst there and getting around was generally stress-free.
Only stayed one night and had just a long morning in the City, seeing the sculptures to the Land Grab and the memorial to the Oklahoma Bombing. From what we saw, you could do with a day or two to do it justice.
Lots of places to visit...Brick Town, Oklahoma Memorial, great restaurants, the Ball Park, the canals within Brick Town and nearby Norman and the University of Oklahoma...and the very impressive building that "Houses" the Journalism school. And do't forget to visit the football stadium and get a look at the biggest scoreboard in college football. And if your there on a Saturday and there is a scheduled game buy a ticket t and go!!!!!!
It was our first experience visiting Oklahoma City and it was fantastic! We visited Oklahoma Zoo and the facilities are amazing, all the animals are in such great conditions! We loved the place!!!
We really enjoyed the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum! The only other place we visited in our short stay were the grounds and museum at the Oklahoma City National Memorial. It was personal, so I'll just say it was very moving. (didn't much like the $25 ticket we got for not seeing that the parking across the street that said "Memorial Parking" had a pay station to deposit cash, so watch out for that if you visit) Other than that, it seemed like OK City was fairly easy to get around.
Oklahoma City is nice, I think it's your average mid-size city. There's some stuff to do and a lot of shopping if you find the right area. When we were here it seemed like the whole city was one big road work, but hat should be great news for you cause when you arrive it should all be done and you'll have new roads to enjoy!
Shawnee was a pleasant surprise after the vast emptiness of the Texas panhandle and the crowds of Oklahoma City. With a nice assortment of restaurants and shopping, it’s a great place to take a break during a cross country road trip. The Native American culture in Oklahoma is very strong, I wish I’d had more time to explore the many and varied native sites and museums.
We love this city with all our hearts. So many things to do and places to eat! Fine friendly Oklahomans are sooooo kind. We have made life-long friends in OKC and can’t wait to go back.
Really I didn’t like the location we were at the 2nd floor but my aunt stayed in 3rd floor and the whole floor smelled like cigarettes smoke that made me uncomfortable already and then In the 2nd floor was a guy walking around with a beer in his hand that was so ghetto I could go on and we left my sons sandles amd the housekeeping said they did not find anything in which we know that’s a lie I would not recommend this hotel to anyone we come to visit my daughter a lot there in Oklahoma City we will not come back at all.
We loved the beauty of the hotel. We were from Oklahoma City coming into Tulsa for a wedding. We searched for hotels downtown and the Campbell was a really good value AND had onsite parking, which we really wanted. It is a hidden jewel! Friends and family in Tulsa did not know about the Campbell at all. But they do now! We liked it was only 2 story with an elevator and a bar; a great bartender with a good playlist. It's great place. Loved the decor of the room and the wood floors(way better than carpet)!
We were doing our cross-country trip and chosen to stay with this particular hotel for one night. The area where the hotel is located felt sketchy first, but once we arrived, the front desk staff made us feel welcomed and comfortable. The room is decent size and super clean. The pool looked stunning, although we didn't have time to soak in. The breakfast had quite a variety of options, so that was great. It is also close to the Oklahoma City National Memorial and Museum on our itinerary.
The staff here at Hampton Inn Tulsa/Broken arrow are very kind and accommodating. The breakfast bar is loaded with way more than most free breakfast in hotels and the breakfast attendant makes your morning more of an experience, in a fun way, as she is humorous and interactive with the guests. We were comfortable in our room, and during our stay we enjoyed the indoor pool, as it was very clean and comfortable to swim in. We will return our next time in Oklahoma.
Comfortable newer hotel. Friendly staff. Large room with comfortable beds & pillows. Sunlit lobby & breakfast room with a spread of scrambled eggs, bacon or sausage, biscuits & gravy. Cereals, oatmeal, yogurt & granola add ins, coffee, juice & water. Breads for toast & a waffle station. Cozy spots to tuck away for conversation and work. Games available from the front desk. Great location near airport, Oklahoma City & surrounding area.
The staff was so friendly and kind, very accommodating. The front desk agent went above and beyond took amazing instagram photos for me AND the manager was so helpful gave us great directions to explore the hotel, big shout out to valet for ALSO helping us with street directions. I would stay here over and over again. When i travel back to Oklahoma this will be the first on my list. I have never felt so at home or welcomed in a hotel. They take the CAKE! 🎂
Muskogee
Hotels and motels can be quite pricey these days, making it challenging to find a clean and comfortable room at a fair price. However, I must say that the Budget Inn Motel in Muskogee, Oklahoma truly exceeded my expectations. It will definitely be my top choice for accommodation whenever I pass through the area, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to stay. Judge less appreciate more!
Seems like a new place. The desk clerk was moderately attentive. This place was nice and lived up to what I was expecting. The hot tub we had could’ve had hotter water. Plus, I was worried for our car out in the parking lot because there were many people walking around all night. However, that is not the fault of the hotel. Oklahoma City seems to allow a lot of homeless people to roam around I 40.
My two grandsons were in a VBS in Vera Oklahoma on Sunday. I live 2 hours away, so I got a room and the grand boys stayed with me. We swam. The pool was absolutely perfect. The staff was absolutely wonderful. The breakfast was wonderful. The eggs were absolutely phenomenal. I was so impressed. I would have liked stronger coffee. And I didn't care for the pillows. But everything was just great
I like the location, free breakfast and the price. The location is close to downtown Oklahoma about eight minutes away. There are many restaurants close by to purchase food. The price was $50 plus tax per night and the room was clean. We have a friend who is renting a room at the same price in the area and he was shocked about the cleanliness of the hotel. He said for the price it is a steal.
This hotel is beautiful and brand new. The location is excellent - within walking distance to restaurants, shops, and the university and a close drive to everything you need. The staff was very welcoming and offered water or wine upon arrival (which was much appreciated after a long day of travel). The decor in the rooms was fun and modern with a local Oklahoma vibe.
Oklahoma City
The hotel was comfortable and the breakfast was good. The front desk associate, Shawn was so nice and polite, he made the whole environment so welcoming. We were in town for my niece's AAU girls basketball games and this was our first time in OK and he referred us to a great pizza spot (Hideaway Pizza). Thank you Shawn for the awesome Oklahoma hospitality.
Will make this our new 1/2 way stop between Tucson and Chicago. Very new, very clean, safe parking lot, great breakfast! Room was very modern, spacious, with comfortable beds. Hotel was right off the interstate. We didn't want to stay in Oklahoma City and I'm so glad we traveled the extra 40 minutes past it so we could stay here!
Location was great, in walking distance of the canal, botanical gardens and good restaurants. Reception staff were friendly and gave loads of info about the local area. Air conditioner in room wasn’t working and we were moved to another room with no complaints. Breakfast was good too. Loved Oklahoma and loved this hotel.
Miami Oklahoma is a very small town, so the location of this Hotel was fine. Breakfast was typical Hampton Inn breakfast, which is to say, like most Hotels of this type - mediocre. Hotel was clean and well maintained and probably, by comparison to the few Hotels in this Town, the best choice.
Very nice room in a very fine hotel. Really difficult to fault anything within the hotel, and handily placed for the Bricktown area a short walk away which has good bars and restaurants. Oklahoma City Bomb Memorial also within walking distance.
The manager DeMonte was very helpful when checking in and helped me sort out one of the two bookings that I had. His customer service was very professional would definitely recommend this hotel best hotel in Oklahoma.
The size of the room and it was so comfortable the price was pretty decent it was very clean all over the hotel not just our room but all over whenever we come to Oklahoma City this is where we will be staying
Beautiful Hotel! Friendly helpful staff. Very spacious comfortable rooms with a fully equipped kitchen . Great breakfast! We choose this hotel every time we drive through Oklahoma City area.
This hotel had a great view of the Paycom Center and Oklahoma City skyline. The room was exactly as pictured online. It was nice and clean. The bed was very comfortable. Lobby is beautiful.
