We had a really good experience at the Kindness hotel. Staring from the front desk that was always sufficiently staffed and competent. Our rooms were clean (!), spacious and everything worked properly (temperature control, Japan style toilets etc). Breakfast was sufficient (some suggestions for improvement in the other section). Additionally, there were two coffee machines available in the lobby at all times and an ice cream and snack bar open most of the time And they served dinner every night. I would absolutely stay in this place again, very good value for money. The location is close to the train station which was convenient on our arrival and departure. Otherwise the neighborhood is not especially nice. But we got around (to hikes) with a driver and explored the town on foot.

Location! At the side of city centre, which means away from the hustle bustle of the city centre but it is a very convenient location. There are few eateries for breakfast and we had a great Taiwanese dinner at Fu Gong Happiness Restaurant which is a short walk from the hotel. There is also a laundry just adjacent to the hotel.

Set within 300 metres of Manbo Beach and 18 km of Pine Garden, The Moment Hotel Hualien by Lakeshore provides rooms in Shunan. Lots to like. Clean, comfortable. We put our family of 7 in a room that sleeps 8. Shared bathroom was super clean with private stalls and toilets. They also had a dog hotel for around $30 a night for the pooch. Had a fully stocked kitchen that we did not use but looked amazing.

Set in the city centre of Hualien, HiYes Hotel 勤天商旅-花蓮館 is only a 7-minute walk from the Hualien Railway Station. Wi-Fi access is available for free throughout the building. I would say it was a nice location because the area is quiet and peaceful. 7-ELEVEN beside the hotel which is super convenience for traveler. The room was quiet. Their breakfast was formidable! They served both Taiwanese congee, tea eggs as well as western food such as French fries and scrambled eggs. Comfortable and functional hotel with very helpful staff. Absolutely everything is at a prominent level. On one of the days parking was needed - no problem and it was provided free of charge.

Fupin Hotel is a 5-minute drive from Tungtamen Night Market and a 15-minute drive from Hualien city centre, where famous local cuisine and street food can be enjoyed. Nice, clean hotel in good location, very helpful reception staff, especially Bonny. Thank you very much.

Lakeshore Hotel Hualien Taroko features free bikes, outdoor swimming pool, a garden and shared lounge in Shunan. Providing a restaurant, the property also has a terrace, as well as a sauna. Near to taroko and the sea, the room was spacious and very comfortable. The facilities were good and the staff was very attentive.
