Mirsoum Han

Hotel in Mardin City Center, Mardin

Ideally set in Mardin, Mirsoum Han has air-conditioned rooms, a garden, free WiFi and a terrace. Featuring room service, this property also provides guests with a restaurant. We had an exceptional stay at Mirsoum Han. Our host, Diyor, and all the staff were incredibly kind and helpful - nothing was ever a problem and all our requests were cheerfully accommodated without fuss. Language was no barrier at all despite the fact that we only speak English. We were truly made to feel like members of the family. The hotel itself is beautifully appointed with careful attention to modern design whilst maintaining the authenticity of the traditional stone architecture. The courtyard is a delightful shady refuge to while away the warmer hours of the afternoon, and the glorious rooftop terrace is a gorgeous spot to enjoy the sunset and a delicious dinner. Chef Medina is a master of the local cuisine. She prepares breakfast at the kitchen counter for each guest every morning. And she cooked us a truly delicious dinner on our last night. The hotel is located in a pedestrian-only zone (much of Mardin is steps), but this was no problem at all as Diyor had this well under control and organised assistance with getting the luggage to and from the hotel. I cannot recommend a stay at Mirsoum any more highly. For an authentic, peaceful and frankly beautiful stay in Mardin, look no further.

I’ve never felt this welcome in my life during a trip. The hospitality is amazing; the family made sure we had everything we needed. They made us feel home. The rooms are incredible; the architecture and the history is mesmerising. The family explained us the ancient water storage system of the building. Staying here is a whole experience.
