Vientiane è semplice e sonnolenta, la si gira a piedi o in bici in un paio di giorni. Ideale per una vacanza rilassante, per chi ama fermarsi nei caffè a guardare la vita locale, per chi ama assaggiare cibi nuovi, per chi ama i templi.
La zona intorno al Centro Culturale del Laos e' strapiena di guesthouse e hotel di vari prezzi,e bars,facilissimo far colazione con 2-3 Euro. Ristoranti di tutti i tipi,dall'Indiano al Francese,dallo Spagnolo all'Italiano( a proposito,se avete voglia di una buona pizza andate all'Acqua dai Capone,Chef e pizzaiolo italiano)! A 4 passi dalla riva del Mekong e del suo enorme mercato serale,facile ed economico spostarsi in Taxi o Tuk tuk (sempre dovete contrattare arrivando a pagare almeno la meta' della richiesta iniziale) e per i singles il bar-ristorante Bor Pen Yang al 3° piano di fronte al Mekong,(si trova a 5 minuti a piedi dal Centro Culturale direzione fiume)bella anche la vista,e dopo aver bevuto un paio di drinks con 1 o 2 delle socievoli e carine ragazze locali (da voi offerti) alle 24 il bar chiude e le stesse vi chiederanno di andare con loro in disco,di solito hanno l'auto...Buon divertimento in Vientiane!
C'è a chi non piace. A me invece la sonnolenta capitale del Laos è piaciuta molto e meritava più del giorno e mezzo che avevo. Perché Vientiane va scoperta: case basse, ancora poche macchine, vecchi negozi, quasi nessuno parla inglese e in mezzo ad architetture disordinate ci sono tanti templi, piccolo e grandi, come pure sono tanti i segni ancora riconoscibili delle architetture coloniali. Molto consigliati al tramonto un aperitivo o una cena al Khong View: magnifica terrazza sul Mekong fuori dai circuiti turistici. La Thailandia è di fronte.
Vientiane si può visitare tranquillamente in 2/3 giorni. Passeggiando sulla Rue Setthathilathi si trovano vari templi Wat Mixai, Wat Ong Teu, Wat Inpeng. Noleggiare una bicicletta e raggiungere Pha That Luang e Si Saket Temple per poi tornare in città, scorgere i nidi di rondine tra le arcate del Patuxai e al ritorno in città godersi una corsa sul lungo fiume. Interessante la visita al COPE Visitor Centre e al Lao Textile Museum. Il mercato notturno ed il Talat Sao per lo shopping. Un pò di meditazione presso il Buddha Park o il That Dam. Non rinunciare ad un buon massaggio in qualche spa e ad un'ottima cena Laotiana al Lao Kitchen in Rue Hengboun. Cocktail del dopocena alla Namphou Circle
Sono stato a Vientiane solo tre giorni, poco per formarsi un'idea! L'impressione è stata di una città molto tranquilla, verde, piena di templi e con una bella natura attorno. Ci sono molto hotel e ristoranti per turisti, ma arrivando da Phnom Penh mi è sembrata in un certo modo più modesta
La gente in laos è gentilissima Vientiane come altre città asiatiche è in espansione per visitata ci vogliono due giorni carina
Abbiamo soggiornato a Vientiane solo qualche giorno, per poi dirigerci verso nord con una macchina a noleggio. La città è carina con la sua passeggiata lungo fiume ed il suo mercato all'aperto. Meritano i suoi complessi templari, anche se non ce ne sono poi tanti. Ottimo il cibo e le strutture in generale. Abbiamo soggiornato 3 notti, dove le principali attrazioni si possono visitare spostandosi a piedi per il centro, mentre se ci si vuole avventurare, basta noleggiare uno scooter. Buona base di arrivo per lanciarsi nel resto del paese.
Hotel carino e molto pulito con un bel bar e ristorante dove si mangia bene e servono ottimi cocktail. Posizione centrale per visitare le non tante cose da vedere a vientiane. Ha una spa molto carina. Purtroppo siamo partiti presto la mattina e quindi non abbiamo potuto sperimentare la colazione

Zona centrale,la struttura e l'area comune sono molto carine! Il personale è molto gentile. Ho alloggiato qui per le mie prime due notti in laos,e sono tornata quando ho avuto bisogno di un appoggio per ripartire verso il sud del laos (dovendo prendere il bus da vientiane).

Most beautiful hotel with incredible customer service.
Lovely clean spacious hotel room with great view over river at back. Ate at restaurant for evening meal which was good. Staff very attentive and helpful. We chose this hotel due to closeness to border into Laos. Staff arranged their hotel minibus van to Thai border crossing but can do trips to Laos as well. Quiet location which suited us.
Breakfast was splendid; I am sorry I did not have time to enjoy more of it.
