The check in process was easy, and when we walked into our room I immediately wished we could stay for more than one night. It was wonderfully appointed, light and airy, while still managing to be cozy! Breakfast in the morning was SUCH a treat with the most delightful presentation and delicious tastes! The location could hardly be better - just a short but scenic walk to the centrum, including all of the wonderful shops and restaurants as well as the marina and a great little nature hike. I can’t wait to return to explore further!

We parked the car in the wrong space but were told politely to move the car from boendeparkering to the hotel parking.

Siggesta Gård is located in the countryside of Värmdö and offers a sun terrace, parking, bookable sauna and hot tub. WiFi are free for guests. This hotel was perfect for our weekend retreat. While located in the beautiful countryside, it's still easy to reach from Stockholm center. The room was spacious and nicely decorated, and the bed was extra comfy! We especially loved the breakfast buffet made from local organic ingredients.

Set by a fortress from 1735, this waterfront hotel on Värmdö Island offers impressive views of Solöfjärden and the surrounding archipelago. We wanted a break from hard travel and are so glad we chose Fredriksborg. The rooms are very simple with a terrific outlook. The location is remarkable, on a hill above the deep water channel going in and out of Stockholm. The first time we saw a huge ship gliding by above eye level was a happy surprise. The dinner served at their restaurant was superb. But the best of all is the staff. They take great pride in the history of the location and its role in the defense of Stockholm in centuries past. Pontus (spelling ?) went out of his way to show us the property as well as to drive us to the ferry for the return to Stockholm. We were very appreciative.

Set in Stockholm’s beautiful archipelago, first-class hotel and conference center Fågelbrohus offers a historic setting in Värmdölandet, just a 35 minute drive from the center of Stockholm. The landscapes, the views of nature and open space, the food was absolutely magical, the service staff were all kind and professional and the room was spacious, clean and cozy. They upgraded us for free because we were celebrating our anniversary.

The Åtellet Hotell re-opened in April 2009. It is located at the mouth of the Norrtälje River, with the archipelago and sea at walking distance. Beautiful hotel in The best Location.
