In a quiet and scenic location at 1,200 metres above sea level, Hotel-Restaurant Siesta Balea is located in Piscul Negru on the Transfagarasan National Road. Location is amazing, you're in the middle of nature. There's also a stream of water passing close to the hotel which makes the experience even better as you can hear the relaxing sound of the water when you open windows. The room was great. It was clean and the bed was comfortable. The food at the restaurant is also tasty.

Hotel Posada Vidraru is set 200 metres from the Vidraru Dam on Arges River, and features a restaurant with Romanian and international cuisine. Rooms come with a flat-screen TV with satellite channels.... We liked everything about this hotel! Starting from the location at a beautiful lake and the views, to the food and activities available (spa zone, lake boat trip, ATV tour to the forest). We especially want to thank the staff and the reception host that helped us book all the activities and was very attentive to all the requests. This is the best service level we have seen in Romania so far. I highly recommend the hotel and plan to come back again.

Located on the shores of Lake Vidraru in Arefu, Hotel Valea cu Pesti enjoys panoramic views of the lake and the Fagaras Mountains. An indoor swimming pool is also available. No doubt most amazing place in whole Transfagarasan road. On the edge of Vidraru lake triangle. All hotel is very nice and clean, has free spa for people who stay there. Very delicious food in restaurant. Big separate bar at the entrance lobby with tv. Big terrace with amazing view to the lake. Also there is kayak and boats renting place 100 metres down to the lake (just not worked that day for some reason, thats sad).

Set within the Fagaras mountain range of the Carpathians, Piscul Negru Hotel is situated on the famous Transfagarasan Road. Location in the heart of the Transfarahashan, an ideal place for an overnight break or for exploring the beautiful trail. Staff was great and breakfast is great value for money. Also was very helpful and honest to send a forgotten item all the way to Bucharest. Highly recommend!

The Posada Hotel complex is located in Curtea de Arges near the Master Manole Monastery and has been completely modernized in the 2021. The breakfast was shockingly good! I was in London 2 weeks ago and thought that breakfast inclus was very good. No comparison! Omelets and crepes made to order, fruit salad in cut glass bowls. Really outstanding. I also very much liked the staff. I was even allowed to practice my Romanian. Tip: Ask first before you try to chat someone up. They might be very busy,
