The Hotel da Oliveira is within the historical Guimarães city centre, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The Guimarães Castle, the city’s most iconic landmark is 150 metres away. The hotel location is perfect! the staff is very helpful and room is big and we loved the breakfast. I highly recommend this hotel as it is near the centre and it is surrounded by many coffee shops and restaurants.

The town centre, only 2km walk away, is listed as a World UNESCO Heritage Site. Restaurant is very good for dinner, ensure you have a table by booking ahead, even if staying there. Excellent restaurants in Guimares as well. The staff were all friendly, kind and attentive. Our 3 nights here with friends were a highlight of our 26 days in Portugal.

Good restaurant, excellent menu and bar. Nice gym and sauna. The building has nice design and interiors are modern, nicely decorated. Windows are soundproof which is important as of the location near to the busy road.

La verdad es que tras estar en guimaraes, ponte de lima y valença do minho, no sorprende, un pueblecico más, no encontramos restaurante que sorprendiera, los crepes de la feria sosos, ni monumento específico. Cabe decir que no subimos al castillo, tal vez valga la pena.

Large modern hotel with staff who were very welcoming. Breakfast was extensive and catered well for food intolerances including options for GF.

The location is excellent for access to Caminha central area. Being slightly south of the center area provides a quiet, comfortable base for visiting Caminha. The hotel has a small fitness room with great cardio machines, great dumbbells, adjustable bench and a multi-station machine. I found the fitness adequate for a basic workout. The room was without question very nice with a view of the pool area and the hills behind. The breakfast met my needs with multiple coffee/espresso options, assorted pastries, fresh fruit, yogurt and other traditional breakfast items. Again, the views of the waterfront were quite nice.
Very clean and comfortable. The staff are pleasant, helpful and knowledgeable. The location is idyllic. There are lots of marked trails nearby, if you like hiking.
Nice spa available and is included in the costs. Plenty of available parking. The hotel is close to the villa. Hotel rooms are very spacious. Hotel staff was friendly.
A true paradise in the nature, in a super stylish cabins, and most amazing hosts. Every detail warmed the heart, you enter the bungalow and bottle of whine with a cake is waiting for you, 10minutes after it stars raining, hosts nocks at your doors with sturdy umbrellas. We were extremely unlucky with a weather, but cabin was so beautiful, surrounded by the wonderful nature, local cat visited us and stayed with us for the whole night and we used inside pool with an amazing view to the hills, so we were not even sorry that we couldn’t get outside for 3days:)
