Facing the beachfront, Lanas Beach Resort Carabao Island offers 3-star accommodation in San Jose and has a garden, shared lounge and terrace. Everything. This place is fantastic! Staff, amenities, location, all excellent! Highly recommend staying here. A way better experience than anything on neighboring Boracay.

Facing the beachfront, Sunset Cove Beach & Dive Resort offers 4-star accommodation in Romblon and features an outdoor swimming pool, garden and restaurant. We came to Romblon because of its reputation as an excellent place for macro and super-macro diving. We chose the Sunset Cove Resort, and we were delighted by the professional dive center located at the resort. On top of that, their chef is a culinary genius, the swimming pool is lovely and cleaned daily, and the rooms are spacious with great design and are kept tidy and clean. This is a very small resort that really knows how to treat its guests - it’s very much a hidden gem!

Located on Carabao Island, just 10 km from Boracay, The Beach House offers a luxury boutique accommodation with its own private beach area. Wonderful! We booked 1 night in this really cool beach bungalow and it was so good that we extended our stay for 3 days (and got a good discount). It was right on the beach and felt like we were on our very own desert island, waking up to the sound of the waves and taking a swim in the fantastically clear warm water before breakfast. We didn’t see any tourists at all on the beach, just some locals taking a walk and kids playing in the water, it was surreal after staying in Boracay with all the crowds and noise! The staff gave us snorkeling stuff for free and David the owner led us out to see the incredible variety of coral, which started just a short distance from the beach and though we saw many varieties of fish, it seems that there were many more before the pandemic, but the locals have decimated the stock as there was no work for them. But the starfish were prolific, we counted 10 different colors including some really bright blue ones, but be careful of the sea urchins, they’re only on the coral, so don’t swim over the coral at low tide. Ely took us for an island tour in this amazing 6 seater off road UTV, it could go anywhere and we took off road tracks to cliff jumps, deserted beaches and caves, this is a must, which you would never find if you hired motorcycles. Now the restaurant on this fantastic balcony (or you can eat at the beach bar). The food my god was soo good, Malou and the other staff were such good cooks, with both local and foreign dishes, don’t miss the yummy spicy spareribs, the stuffed baby squid, the curry, the adobo and of course the seafood; simply delicious! We wanted to stay longer and wished we had come here first and not bothered with Boracay, so sad to leave and will defiantly be back and skip the Boracay stay!

Close to everything; town, best beaches, nature. The owner is really nice and helpful. They have their own restaurant with great food choices. The view is really nice from the room. We love the island itself also. Calm, quite place with nice nature, outstanding snorkel spots and kind people. But dont expect any party places.
