José Luis, Pilar and their son were so welcoming and helpful, from organizing transportation to meeting me at the dock. The food was delicious, the space clean and comfortable, with a balcony overlooking the lake. They upgraded my room because I had just sprained my ankle before coming, and helped me with natural remedies to heal. Everything was wonderful and I could have stayed much more than 2 nights! The island is beautiful, do the walk around the whole island for gorgeous views and seeing local life in action. Thank you José Luis, Pilar and Luis!

Henry and Meriluz are really nice people, helps with everything you need. the food is super delicious. the room was spacious, really clean and nice with lake view from the windows. we came for 2 nights but stayed for 3 since it is amazing here. real hot shower, very comfortable bad. perfect. and the island is stunning. very recommended!!

The family are beautiful and looked after me very well with delicious food, cultural education and support in arriving and leaving. The room is artistically painted, bed comfortable with a ton of blankets to keep you warm and you get a little hot water bottle in a sock, which is very thoughtful. Bathroom is new and tiled with ceramic toilet and sink, but there's no running water- use buckets which is not a problem. There is electricity. The island is serene with no cars. Staying with this family is a memory I will cherish and never forget. You could not ask for more kind, friendly and generous people. They were so happy to share their everyday life and culture and their big hearts! Highly recommended!

Objekat Richar’s home - experience Amantani with my family sa pogledom na vrt je smešten u gradu Ocosuyo i nudi restoran i ostavu za prtljag. Richar, Lucrezia and Isabella are very lovely people and very generous hosts. Richar told us about the island and showed us around, Lucrezia’s cooking is truly wonderful and Isabella is a very nice girl, who would play cards with us in the evening. The rooms are very clean, there is a hot shower and it’s an easy walk from the port of Amantani. The island itself is so peaceful and tranquil, a perfect rest. At night the stars are magestic with Milky Way visible with naked eye. I would highly recommend staying at Richar’s place to experience the magic of the island in its authenticity. Also, from what I’ve read it is much better for the families who live on the island to book a stay directly with them rather than through an agency.
