Going to Khasab from Dubai is a really nice little weekend getaway destination. It's about 3-4hrs drive (including stops and visa checkpoints/border crossings). Its also easy to find and a really pleasant drive once you cross into Oman. From Khasab you take the Musandam Dhow Cruise and from there it is a beautiful day of amazing sites (including dolphins, fish and turtles) as well as enjoying snorkeling and kayaking if you're into it. There are not a lot of hotel choices, but the Atana Musandam Resort is really nice. You can also choose to 'rough-it' and do a camping tour which is a whole different style of adventure. Overall a pleasant adventure for a weekend getway from Dubai/UAE or one of the other GCC countries.

Superfriendly staff, qiet place, dinner was excellent and the best breakfast we had for a long time. Highly recommended!!! We had a special treatment, because we needed a transport from the oman border to Khasab. It was not easy to arrange, but the reception made it possible. Thanks to all of you for picking us up from the Oman-UAE border. So you enabled us making the once in a lifetime experience to come to Musandam and make a Dhow-cruise.
We spent a weekend in Musandam crossing the border from the UAE before flying to Muscat to travel throughout Oman. There are very few budget hotels in town but this is one of them. The staff are nice and rooms are spacious. Breakfast was ok. No need to expect much, Khasab is a sleepy place but this will work if you want a place to crash after a dhow cruise. Tip - check out the fish restaurant down the street next to the fish market.
The staff is friendly, ready to help and informative. they will help you to organise an excursion, if you are in Musandam with nothing planned. Sometimes it may request extra effort to get to the point because of the language, but it’s part of the experience. The hotel is well located, close to the port, shopping centre and few minutes by car from the airport.

The nicest hotel in Musandam. The location was great, and the hotel itself had a really charming vibe. Our room was spacious and had a lovely balcony where we could chill out and read. The pool was on the smaller side, but it was super clean and well-kept.
