Ciudad hermosa, tranquila, segura, con muchísimas actividades por realizar, gente amable y respetuosa, buenos restaurantes y adecuada relación entre la cultura europea y la nativa (maoríes). Superó todas mis expectativas. Volvería con toda certeza. Lo único que me gustaría es que existiera una mejor red ferroviaria que permitiera a los turistas ir desde la isla norte a la del sur sin inconvenientes.
Tiene una ubicación idónea para recorrer el norte de la isla norte haciendo salidas diarias de ida i vuelta en lugar de ruta continua. Interesante la visita a waitangui Lo mejor, la vegetación, playas, cultura, etc
Si bien no es espectacular, es un excelente punto de partida para una ruta por el norte de la Isla norte, mejor en cuanto a encanto que cualquier otro. Bien dotado de restaurantes y tiendas, puedes pasar un rato paseando y visitando la stone house y alrededores, precioso enclave local
La ciudad no amerita mas de 2 dias, pero sus alrrededores y recorrer el resto del pais vale la pena. Nosotros recorrimos en auto la isla norte hasta Wellingnton y luego un vuelo a Queestonw que fue genial! Cuidado con las pertenencias! Olvidamos go pro en local comercial y enseguida se la llevaron! Mal recuerdo Recomiendo comer en Corelli's Cafe en Devenport!
Es una zona volcánica que se ha de ver, pero tampoco hace falta alargar mucho la estancia si no eres un fanatico de los spas con olor a huevo podrido. Creo que ha de estar en todos los viajes que se hagan por la isla norte de Nueva Zelanda, pero no dedicaría más de un par de días.
Linda ciudad no más de dos días, combinar con excursión a isla de Waikeke. Me gustó más Rotorua dentro de lo que es la Isla Norte.
