Una menzione speciale molto positiva va all'esperienza di star gazing, in cui si va con un pulmino di sera in una zona buia. Qui ci sono degi esperti che danno interessanti spiegazioni di astronomia e mostrano il cielo con un puntatore laser, per poi far vedere un paio di punti di interesse nell'universo con un bellissimo telescopio professionale. Esperienza di circa un'ora e mezza totale, piuttosto costosa ma che forse rende quasi accettabile questa trappola per turisti.

The Godley Hotel offers country-style accommodation in the alpine village of Lake Tekapo on the South Island. The hotel is centrally located in the village with views of the lake and mountains. The view from the property out to the lake was stunning, they offered blankets and outdoor seating area to stargazing from your room. The staff were lovely and very accommodating!

Situated in Lake Tekapo, Canterbury region, Starlet 11 is located 46 km from Mt. Dobson. There is a private entrance at the apartment for the convenience of those who stay. Very nice house, with all the amenities you could ask for. Clean and nice, was offered earlier check in and some snacks and bottle of wine waiting for us, that was a nice touch.
