People in Nepal are very friendly. There are also many nice restaurants where we get good Nepalese food. Of the many historical sights we prefer Boudhanat and the monasteries around it. Sechen monastery Garden restaurant is a lovely place to eat and relax. Walking longer distances in Kathmandu is almost impossible because of the pollution but the taxis are cheap. I's worth to go outside the Kathmandu valley e.g. Rafting or hiking to Trisuli-river (80km from Kathmandu) We were few days in White Water camping resort and everything was so well organize there. The meals were delicious.We could even eat vegetables.
Kathmandu Valley is a living museum. Seven Unesco World Heritage sites. The renovation is still in progress although 18 months since the eathquake. Diwali is worth of seeing.
